As I explained in another thread, those types of things are based on Perspective. In RL, many hetero females Want ambitious, hard-working, successful providers/protectors but That comes with sacrifices that females Never factor in. To BE successful, the man has to put in a Lot of time away from wives/family. When he gets home, he's either highly stressed, very tired or both. When you're dedicated to Being successful, you need time to decompress so that your loved ones get the Best version of you. If that's not possible, then the man comes off as being "aloof", "emotionally unavailable", "abusive", "neglectful" or dozens of other descriptive adjectives.
When you're on the Other side of the yard, you either Don't understand, Can't see what's going on or just don't Want to see what's going on. All that you See is that, from your perspective, "everything is going Great so why can't we..." fill in the blanks.
The thing about This game is that the husband explained to his son just what was going on, which is rare in games. He said exactly what I just mentioned. The son took it upon Himself to replace his dad as his mom's lover & proceeds to seduce her. If he was Truly the loving son he claimed to be, he could have Easily finagled a meeting between his parents, even acting as a mediator of sorts & let them hash it out. Then his focus could have been on his Sister & his gf Emma while his folks worked out their issues. The husband is Not the bad guy here but is also a victim of the circumstances of being a successful husband & father. It's how the Others chose to see it & respond it that makes for the basis of this and other games Like it. I feel sorry for the husband in this game just like I do so many men in RL that find themselves behind the 8-ball because their spouses are either Clueless or selfish.

The only way is to close her(Charlotte) path completely and they can make it work but most don't do this at all. Just these are routes chosen by individual player who likes some paths and don't its completely optional. MC can have just his girlfriend for example.
Talking in game perspective not IRL.

Yes, you're absolutely right. But there are a couple of things that make Erwin look like...well, a jerk:
1. In the first season, under pressure from his coworkers, he joined in the verbal abuse of the wives.
2. He didn't bring in any money. Again, according to Charlotte, he invested all his money in crypto or something like that, I don't remember. She had to take money she had saved for college.
All of this makes him not a very good person, but none of this is a reason for Charlotte to cheat (there's no real reason for that at all). Well, if we find out that he was actually lying about his dysfunction and cheating on her , then I'll take back my words.
So, my canon is the solo Triss route. As much as I love the Charlotte route, it just doesn't feel right. Well, at least for now...

Well, actually, there is a game where the father is alive and he's not a jerk (at least if I remember correctly). I know I can't link to other games here, so I'll just describe it: a 2D post-apocalypse with no NTR content at all.
Ah but you GET the point. The realistic part of the game is the fact that Charlotte Chose to cheat, with their Child no less. She did it, not so much as for the brief verbal abuse as much as it was a loss of respect for him by jeopardizing their future in losing the family's investments & not being able to perform his role as a Provider. It doesn't take a lot for a man's role to be diminished in his woman's eye but CERTAINLY because he can no longer fill his role as a husband. In the context of the M/S incest dynamic, I Love Charlotte. In my book She's the #1 LI, followed by Emma and finally Triss but, narratively, Charlotte comes across as being a little selfish, diverting her attention & affection to her son rather than patching things up. Not sure fully just some choices do indicate this but it's not enough to get it tagged here mayb in future. And cuckold after sometime. If you are truly want full of it than this game is not the right one.

Let's see how she explains this to Erwin it will be a long conversation and my oh my what about Denise how(Charlotte) could even explain this to her. The more updates coming after this point is the best ones the game has ever seen.
