It is small by porn game standards lol. I can only assume that you gave him an average sized dick to make him look inferior when compared to the ex.

Netorare is a big no for me no matter how "deep and complex" it is but i do appreciate you answering my somewhat snide post sincerely. There's definitely an audience for this kind of game, it just doesn't include me.
I gave him an average sized one because of how it was portrayed in Sex/Life. As in, it's not something that should have an effect on somebody since size doesn't always matter and sometimes, the bigger the dick, it actually hurts a woman. But it psyches some guys out and just like it psyched out the protagonist in that game, it's more to psych out this protagonist. I don't want to spoil too much about upcoming releases, so I'll talk about it here. He had sex with his wife, he got hard and he wasn't small by any means. Sure, he's a grower, not a shower. It's about how he sees himself and in a way, it's kind of like how you're seeing him.

I will add that I think I would be doing this game injustice if I didn't add a way to avoid cheating or to implement sharing. So, maybe there will be something here for you in the future.

I fucking hate sex/life series
A story about a pathetic cuckold and an elderly whore who is ready to destroy her marriage for the sake of the memories of her youth.
What about Anna Karenina? Look, I'm not going to argue the quality of Sex/Life or Sara Shahi's tits but I think you might find something in our game that's to your liking.

I criticize the show precisely for stupid propaganda. "There is nothing wrong with having a happy family life and a lover at the same time". It's disgusting.

I suspect in the game, the MC will read her diary, where she describes her ex, what alpha chad he was, what great sex they had, and how she sometimes dreams about him.
We will have a choice - save the marriage (vanilla), make her dreams come true (sharing) or become jealous and confront her (cheating). I can be wrong.

Hey man, so far it's avoided all the "Is NTR optional" questions. That being said, I still do recommend you give it a try. I'm not going for the traditional netorare thing, I do want to make it more complex like in Anna Karenina or Sex/Life.
So, you want to convince people who hate NTR (me too) that your NTR is different...But what planet do you live on?! lol. Seeing others plow your woman has only one point of view…cuckold. Thanks for being honest from the start. GL.

And if that's how you saw the show, that's all right. I'll be honest, I didn't really like that part of the show either.

Now, with the diary situation you've brought up, I've made it clear from the first entry that we see in this version, that's not what's happening here. The diary in this is not about her relationship with her ex, it's about her relationship with her husband.

As for the choices you've brought up, I think that those are all valid options to have. However, it's the writing quality which reduces them to those and I aim to go deeper than just that. You might like it, green eggs and ham and all, but if you don't, then that's perfectly all right.

NTR is netorare, right? Anna Karenina is a book about a woman having an affair but it's so much more than that. I might make people laugh by saying I want to write the Anna Karenina of visual novels, but I do want to try.

I think that somebody who only likes Harem games might like this game simply because it is different and it provides, or at least attempts to provide, something that makes you think.

I have the eventual reasons for possibly cheating in my head and they aren't like you'd find in typical NTR games

Let me start with you are open and honest about what you want to do, so i'm not trying to give you shit about it.

Yes, with ntr is here generaly meant, netorare, netorase or just a LI (love interest) cheating.

I mean, i can ask the question if it is avoidable/optional if it makes you happy
To be more serious, that's pretty much the one question which will be interesting to the romance/harem lovers, not if your ntr is different.

I'm more of a romance fan than harem, but i think you won't convince any of them with my netorare is different than usual.
Semantics aside, most of them dislike or outright hate a LI having sex with someone else, the context or how you want to call it doesn't really matter. If it isn't optional, that's for most a reason to either never try the game, or quit if it reached that point.

Personally i have no interest in playing a doubting game of ''is it true that she is cheating or not'', nor do i like the usual defend your girl from rivals or she cheats.
She is either loyal and gives the other guy the boot on her own, or can take a hike for all i care. If it necessary that the MC is constantly needed to prevent her from cheating it just means she isn't loyal, no interest in such a LI and also a reason why i dislike many games with optional ntr.

That being said, i wish you good luck and success with your game.

Well, if you're a romance fan, then I think that you might actually have interest in my game. Anna Karenina's themes can be seen to revolve around indulgence and indulgence of romance is one of the things which it delves into. Whether that's Lenin's perspective on the matter or Vronsky's perspective, it is there. That is certainly something which I am seeking to capture in my game.

That said, I do think I would be doing the game and the deeper themes I'm hoping to capture an injustice if I made this in a way where cheating was a punishment, as in Power Vacuum style, but alternatively that faithfulness is a punishment. So, if you're an asshole to your wife, if you're negligent or if you drive her into the arms of another man, what's going to happen? I just want to implement those choices in a way that's clever and meaningful.

This isn't a kinetic novel.

As long as the protag's wife is nothing like the wife in Sex Life who was obsessing over her ex, I think I'd be okay playing the game.

NTR? Fine, sometimes sexy as hell.

Depressing? Nah. I don't play these games for an overweening feeling of depression. Even Teaching Lessons had a happier tone and messages of hope after the fuckery (on the right paths).
