This matches the information that I have. MrSL is continuing to make progress, largely to plan. This included some time put aside to work on his other side project, and that quantum of work has been released already.
I've not yet completed all the proofreading/edits of the Ch7 pt2 text (although I am 80-90% done) and MrSL has confirmed he doesn't need it yet.
Also bear in mind that (if I understand correctly and he has not changed plan) that MrSL has abandoned the "two part" release format that was tried with Ch 7 due to negative feedback from patrons, and will be doing a full chapter release. NOTE: THIS IS JUST MY UNDERSTANDING, NOT CANON.
So it's been 4 months since his update, and it sounds like it'll be another few months. So the upcoming update sounds like it will take him 6-7 months to complete. Jeebus.
This game is soo good no matter what i do i become cheater in this game. 
Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean - really well crafted but I am pretty sure you aren't really exclusive with any of them except Lea and you make a specific choice to either be exclusive or not. It is hard to have to disappoint her in that conversation, but I suspect she would be more disappointed to learn you were cheating after promising to be exclusive. As long as MrSL does not become a second IonDivvy, who promised much when he brought out his second game and delivered nothing but lies and prevarications for his first game (last update was nearly a year ago when he promised a fast update), it is all good.

I think that it makes more sense to look at MrSL's track record than to compare him to some random other developer.
He has delivered 7 updates after the initial chapter 1 over the past 3 years. The time between updates has consistently been 5-7 months. Each update has been of a significant size - 10000s of words, 100s of images, multiple choices and complex paths that stem from your previous choices. The game itself has had improving quality, additional functionality and the addition of animations even back to previous chapters.
Out of all the developers of indie adult games, MrSL has proven himself to be one of the best. The game content might not be for everyone, but those of us who like this sort of intelligent and sexy gameplay REALLY love it.
That was true - barring the last 2. Do correct me on the dates, but didn't the first half of 7 come out sometime this spring? And it was extremely short compared to past updates; basically just the start of that dinner party. So that's nearly ~14 months without significant gameplay addition.
Don't get me wrong I think he does great work, we just need MOAR!
It is not a quite as random a comparison as you seem to think. Iondivvy updated his first game also very regularly until the day he announced his second game. He told us that this second game would not impact development of his first game at all or just minimally. Hell yeah, what a complete liar and a... he turned out to be!
The next update after he started developing game two was feelable late and small, but he promised another update quicker and with more content. That was nearly a year ago and we still wait for that "fast" and substantial update. His excuses for the continuing delays (he announced another delay just a few weeks ago) are a joke and clearly fabricated to sooth the fans of his first game.
But "surprise", his second game is updated very regularly.
As said, he once was also a developer we thought can be trusted. So pardon me that I get suspicious when a teamless developer announces/starts work on a second game now.
I think another thing that worries me too is not just the focus, but the content, the last chapter felt like a letdown to me, my fav path Emma's sub path felt bad compared to her dom. Other routes feel a little weird. This game dropped from a top 5 or 10 for to middle of my avn rankings. So I am worried about not only SilverLust's focus on the game, but also the story and where it is heading.

I agree MrSL's "Nothing is forever" is great. Unfortunately his new game is not my cup of tea. But I understand the need to try something different. I just wish he focused on finishing this game.

Do note we're over that now..... I very much want to see more of NIF, and I'd be a sub already if the updates were more reliable.
7.1 was back in february - so 8 months ago. One could say 7.2/.3 were subsequent releases in the interim, but if we're being honest the sum of these was more comparable in length to a traditional update. At least of his publically available patreon posts; it seems pretty quiet since the start of summer which is a little disconcerting comparing that span to prior history.

Quickly became one of my favorite games here, I know it's gonna have a bad ending since it isnt a harem game, but it has to be one of the most well made stories in the site! Loved the growth of the MC and all the challenges he goes through, and I love all the girls!

Nah team Emma or Jen gonna have a wonderful ending kind of sad it's nearly over even tho the updates do take sometime to come out. As I didn't start to really get into Jen or Emma's character until around ch 5 or 6. Only character I despise is Kim.

Depends, you have to play as a eunuch to have a good ending with Emma. She clearly won't enjoy the fact you've fucked a bunch of other girls behind her back, so you basically have to dodge other girls (which is kinda meh in a porn game).
Jen won't give a fuck, as long as the MC is pleased and satisfied she'll be happy
I really enjoy Lea as well, and since she is also easily """groomed""" and manipulated by the MC, she'd also probably become submissive and accepting of a throuple with Jen.

I guess it depends on how you play AVN's. I dont like harem play style so on non harem games I always stay faithful to the girl for whatever save that is. Even when they aren't in a relationship and they dont mind if I sleep around beforehand I keep my saves pure and faithful for them.
One of my favorite characters in another game. I wait 7 long chapters just to have sex with her even tho I can play her friends with benfits path and have sex alot sooner and transition into a relationship around the same time. I just didn't like playing her FWB path. So it very much depends on how one likes to play.
For me I dont see anything wrong in that and for me personally I dont see every AVN as a porn game even if there is alot of lewd scenes. It very much depends on the feel of the game for me. I don't even really consider this a porn game either even tho there is alot of fetishes and lewd scenes to be seen. As to me it feels like it focus more on the relationships than the porn. So I see this game more something in the middle between porn game and not.

It is not a harem in that all of the LIs are not explicitly exclusively with MC while MC is with all LIs - but you can very much sleep around with everyone without cheating
