...many "mini harems" in the town I could easily see the sheriff with an older lady as a LI and maybe her daughter...
...copper wire is available simple contracetive device can be made by bending the copper wire into an omega shape then inserted into the uterus...
...town might revert to "honeypots" for fecal matter disposal and assign someone a daily chore of collecting the chamber pots...
Dude... what. Please stop. Just no.

hey those are practical factors after a zombie apocalypse :p
Not the point. You have completely made up the entire “White Oak project”. Go make a fan fiction thread and write there. I, for one, can live without poop refineries.

When thinking about the future, it's important to remember that we've been told the infected, or perhaps most of the infected, eventually die after a few months. So the true threat in the moderate future is regular humans trying to survive.

The primary problem with maintaining White Oak is its defense. Assume that they have power and water and can raise food and trade for what they need but can't produce, and therefore are likely to become visible to those who have none of those things. As the survivors of the cities flood the countryside there will be thousands who want what White Oak has, and many if not most will do anything to gain it. So the residents will have to prevent those many thousands from finding out about White Oak.

The residents of White Oak, as presented to date, are still living as if they, for the most part, still enjoy the security provided before the the fall. Out of the entire town perhaps a half dozen showed up in the initial fight with the raiders. It should have been everyone with access to a firearm. How will they fortify their town? How many thousands of rounds will be needed to defend it? They'll need IEDs and boobytraps and multiple layers of defense. How will they defend the farms?

The town will need a modest dedicated military force, say company strength, and a militia of hundreds that can mobilize within 4-8 hours. Patrols have to be out at least 25 miles in all directions to provide adequate warning.

Could produce one hell of a story, but it would be a good deal more ambitious than now and then.

if your perimeter is 25 miles that means you are also going to be covering varios small towns and hamlets, the real problem is going to be communication, if its an older phone system without thefiberoptic links you could rig something using landlines if not you are going to need radios and lots of them

Now & Then Final update: We're still plugging away at a clean final version of N&T. Because of how rough the first act is, this is taking some time, between reshoots and cleaning up the code. Right now, we're all the way up to episode six, with a few items to go back to if the mood strikes us. Of note, the scene in episode four where Carol sneaks into Jack's bedroom has been extended.

Thanks for you support and feedback!

I'm about halfway through the game, it has probably already been pointed out but there is an error in the 14th chapter

If it’s giving you errors when loading, try loading an auto save.

Finally played the epilogue. I am happy with my ending, and a bit surprised with that last info about Naomi getting pregnant. :p

Will there be any more updates?
Yes, one final update, mostly bugfixing and some re-renders. Kinderfeld mentioned at least one early scene will be expanded a bit but there will not be any new content beyond expanding one or two existing scenes.
