Guys, I am trying to give this game a chance and try not to dislike it but it seems average to me and with bloated same boring dialogues I am tempted to skip. Are earlier chapters like that for all? Will things pick up and pacing be better after a point?

Your description is vague. Where are you at in the game? Which chapter? What are your expectations? What do you like to see? What you don't like to see?

For example, you said "bloated same boring dialogues", what do you mean by that? Did the characters say the same dialogue over and over again:unsure:? Or you just don't want to read the dialogues?
What better pacing do you want?

If you described those clearly, then players who had played the game can either recommend or advice against. Players know the game, they don't know you.

You didn't give us the main information; where are you in the game?
But if I can say you, this game isn't probably for you. The story (text) is really important. For me, this was probably the best game in this genre, but it isn't anybody's par of shoes. Anybody has his preferences. If you search only for sex scenes, there are many in front of you, but if story doesn't engage you, then you should probably stop playing. Story is for me the best part of this game.

Indeed. True to that. Fans of this game love it for the story, incest survival horror zombie apocalypse.

Unfortunately there aren't many of them, I prefer VN-s, what makes it even harder. Avoid sandbox games and rpg games to. I tried few of then, I simple couldn't and I left them. Only two are left; Deadmoon survival and Hot sand of Antartica.

Hot Sands of Antarctica grew on me. I don't seek out the incest tag, but within the scenario of the novel it's reasonably explained and activated. It doesn't feel so forced like with Desert Stalker and I prefer HSoA between those two. The conflict and apocalyptic setting feel more visceral as well compared to DS. I'm really rooting for the MC to protect the women in his life like I did reading Now & Then. The writing is much better here but HSoA is an interesting read as well.

I'm still bummed Kindred: the Redburns was abandoned... :(
Yes. I remember play it the first time, a really good one. And the oldest of them all. I still hope for news and I follow the thread. There was another good one, can't remember the name, dev just disappeared.

I hope ILSProductions will make another survival game, he was fast, updates were big, writing fantastic. The best would be a sequel to "Now and then". Story could be one year in future or new type of zombies appear, they need to run or try to barricade themself. Few new people are on the run in front of them. I don't know. People start to become ill, they run away.

I agree, incest doesn't effect my decision to play. Yes, i read genre, but avoid sandbox. And rpgm, when i see little characters run around a map, I remember C64 games 30 years ago. I cannot play it. And I avoid puzzle, minigames, freeroam tags too. But the tags are often false.
I like VN, with choices. Kinetic are good to, but they are like a movie, you click true text enjoy story (or not, but then it's a question why do you even play it in first place).
HSoA is good, agree, but Deadmoon survival is my favorite now. Cannot explain, but I like this game. I still hope Kindred: the Redburns continue sometime. Dev said long time ago to give everything away if somebody will continue. But, it was long time ago and I don't think the game will continue. Probably one update from original dev, and that's all folks!

I am at the point where MC found Naomi and they are planning to move out of the apartment. You know at first I liked the premise, it was a realistic (as much as it can be) postapocalyptic survivor novel. All that kinky harem stuff is not forced and I appreciate dev not forcing sex just because MC is hot and has a big dick. May be it is because of me that I binged a lot of AVNs in my unemployment period in the last couple of months. I can see through the plot may be so all the relationship development dialogues are skippable for me. I guess we will find Naomi's mother too at some point, you know what I mean. I dont know. The pacing is just too slow right for me right now. I hope it picks up a little. The audiovisual quality doesn't make me keep playing it also. My question was: will we get any major twists or sorta betrayal in the story or will we get the generic harem path with postapocalyptic overtones? No spoilers pls.

Without to spoil anything, you are only one paar updates into this game. At 15-20% at best. There will be many characters on your journey. Pacing of this game is slow, the story progress at this pace. There are events that changes the pace, but avarage pace is on slower side. That's how it is. As I say it previous: If I like this game, doesn't mean that you will enjoy it too. I cannot give you accurate prediction. Main thing for this game was quality of story, interesting characters and incredible development pace. I hope, I could help you. Without to spoil anything, it's a tough task.

Thanks may be playing this game with breaks would be the best, binging it in a day is not a right way to play it then. It is certainly not a PORN VN for a quick dopamine rush and not a goofy one for passing time either.

Great game!! Liked it very much. I want a sequel but it would probably be pointless

Does anyone know of games with a similar premise?
