It has been quite a while since I played, but that looks roughly like the area that I remember being incredibly annoying to jump to, which took me multiple tries. You aren't alone in that being a frustrating bit, especially with such minimal rewards.

Depends on the achievement.
Common, Defeat (that is enemy kills), Sex Experience and the first set of Birth achievements give out various stats bonuses, regen bonuses, EXP bonuses and damage reduction. They have to be activated from the menu to take effect. That said, with a good chunk of them active, the character essentially becomes invulnerable to everything except post-sex damage... and even that goes away as she gets more sex exp. Level and gear end up barely mattering if you're decisive about farming these.
Not that it all matters much anyway. Most of the enemies are pretty easy to deal with... You have more difficulty from janky hit-boxes and enemies that behave weird or go invisible than anything else. (I'm looking at you, you big ass wasps. Y U Go invisible?!)
