VN Ren'Py Completed Once in a Lifetime [v1.0] [Caribdis]

Like a number of others here, I was not a fan of HS games until I encountered OiaL. And to be fair, most of the HS games I've looked at come nowhere near the quality of this game, because it's clear that Caribdis is a master at this. That being said, I have been absolutely blown away by Eternum; he/she has taken his/her skill to yet another level. OiaL is great; Eternum is, in two words, gorgeous, fantastic. Don't have enough words to describe it. I didn't subscribe to Caribdis when I was downloading OiaL, but I'm making up for that now, subscribing at a higher-than-normal level for me, and tipping them on SS when I can afford it.

Anyone looking for other quality HS games, I suggest Now & Then, Ripples, and My New Family. Not sure, but I think Killer7 switched to another program for My New Memories. Even so, it's v. good, as well.

About Eternum, yeah, I will wait a bit longer, at least until the next update before starting (since, lets be honest here, it wil be done in about 3 years, I doubt we can wait that long after knowing what awesome game it can be)

Agreed.
Well it's matter of personal taste, but I love Sorcerer and Ripples at the same level, if you didn't play them, give them a try because they are very good games, if you already know them you will know why.
Yes regarding Eternum I've had a similar idea, I want to have at least some play and not suffer withdrawal symptoms too much.
Anyway OIAL with help in the meantime.

Agreed with all you said, and yes for My New Memories Killer switched to using DAZ for the models, and it was a good idea since the more realistic style fit the story better imho.

We do agree, they all have similar charms, character design itself that's uplifting the looks.
While the sisters are both clearly a 2nd place both in terms of personality, charms and looks, it is mommy that gets the first place, because let's face it.
A mature woman falling madly in love and still being a mom is damn hot.
I mean, she tells him he's grounded, but he twists it around saying something akin to "I don't mind but as long as you're there I can spend so much time on you," or something to that extent (you can quote me the exact line, cba. atm).
The chemistry between them is great and progresses the best.
The sisters simply glided into a relationship with him, while the mother literally got infatuated doing the right things for all the wrong reasons. Jasmine, Iris and Rebecca have their own charms as well, but it is the fact that 3 women so close to him in his life could act so differently as lovers.

Like you it took me a while to finally get over my bias and give HS games a chance. I'm glad I did because there are some really great ones that have interesting premises along with great animation in many cases better than the usual DAZ 3D art style. I also share a similar fetish for milfs/mature women, especially in incest games so I can also recommend Depths Revival among other I have played and enjoyed (The Inn, My Bully Is My Lover, Pale Carnations, Life Changing Choices, and Bound By Lust).

Pale Carnations and Depths Revival are my current favorites with Ripples being a close second. The premise of Depths Revival is a bit of a harem-romance/slice of life school based VN (not a sandbox) but the characters are the real highlight. The MC is able to pursue a relationship with his mother that starts off innocently enough with mild teasing, but thankfully it isn't a slow burn. Things ramp up quickly after she finds out the MC is having an affair with his teacher, who conveniently is his dead father's mistress and is also madly in love with the MC. They end up trying one-up each other constantly, not to mention the newly discovered half-sister likewise falls madly in love with the MC after he saved her life and to further make things more complicated, the MC's childhood BFF (who he kind of always had a crush on) who's mostly lesbian and also infatuated with the same teacher, discovers she has unresolved feelings for the MC after witnessing the MC and the teacher hooking up in an empty classroom after school. Needless to say there are even more characters and L.I. to pursue or turn down, each with their own interesting stories and the lewd scenes are really done well.

Anyway, I just started this game as it's been on my list but just had too many other games I was playing previously.

I agree with you, your analysis have a strong point yet I really can't say that ( from my personal point of view) is enough to put Carla in the top list, again this is my personal opinion I don't want in any way that this should be seen as the only acceptable point about the LI's list.
To me they all hold an equal and stable position as fav characters, Judie with her bubbling and caring personality, Lauren being ad hard to get yet very loving and caring girl, Carla being the strong and caring mother yet being also a beautiful and sexy woman (for me she's on par with Becca in MNF), Iris with her super adorable and intriguing sexy craziness, Jasmine a fierce fearless sexy tsundere ( with a big heart and ready to leave all to be free and in love with the MC), Aiko strong willed yet with a very sweet personality, Rebecca with her kindness and that crazy side that make her simply adorable.
No sorry my friend I totally accept your opinion, but I stand on mine, I love them too much to choose one among the others, I apologize.

P.S. Of course I like your posts how not to like a person that is willing to talk and interact with solid arguments and respect instead of spiting among the other opinions? I wish we could always have this interactions, the forum would be much more enjoyable this way

Well, as I said it's a matter of preferences it's not mandatory to like every single girl like I did, I was compelled by her exactly like the others but this doesn't mean that my opinion is the only acceptable, probably the same factor( her being a tsundere, but other thing occurred during the interactions with the MC) that lead me to love her are the same that maybe led you to not like her.
Iris, Aiko and Jasmine are already in the follow path from the start I think, since they are side character for Judie (Iris), Aiko+Jasmine ( Lauren) as you already noticed they don't have love points, so you either close that path willingly or else you will have them by default.
That's my hypothesis of course and it can be something else and I could be completely wrong, I choose Iris too but mostly because I wanted to see her reaction.

Outstanding, absolutely outstanding, I enjoyed every second of this game, I can't say I didn't almost choke up when I saw a certain pilot appear towards the end of the game in the harem ending, honestly couldn't have asked for a better ending for a game this great, everyone got what they deserved, even those minor characters we met along the way lol but really outstanding. Couldn't have picked a better ending song either, "I'll be right behind you, Josephine" fits perfectly.

Agreed 1000% with both of you guys, the game is simply Awesome, first time I shed a tear while the ending song played so kudos to Caribdis.

Seconded, also I couldn't care less of the rates when I look at a game, I prefer to interact on the thread and since the comments are as positive as possible for me is enough.
Yep #1 game for me too, Sorcerer, Ripples and Sisterly Lust are close seconds.
I'm willingly put out of the list both MNF and Eternum.
MNF for me is hors catégorie as french says and Eternum, well I will wait until it's finished to just put it in the #1 with OIAL.

It's a matter of personal preferences, all I could say is that the harem path is more than convincing until the end (that we all agree felt a bit rushed), but nonetheless really good.

As I'm still in the middle of the story atm, it's somewhat realistic by porn logic standards as its mostly a slow burn. Not too slow mind you as there is some teasing turning into sex-play and depending on your choices, chances for more sexual interaction. That said, right now I'm finding opportunities to hook up (to varying degrees) with all the available L.I., and aside from a potential awkward but smoking hot threesome, none of the other girls know about each other yet. I'm guessing that will happen later in the story, but for now it seems l'll just keep having fun with all the girls without any major fallout or them knowingly consent to being part of a harem?
