Her statement is perfectly reasonable and clearly based on what others have said and how they've said it.
Meanwhile, there's a "minor problem" with your reasoning for player expectations...

In other words, they only have themselves to blame for their expectations not being met.

Then they start playing and realise pretty quickly that the tone of the writing and the personalities of the characters are prolly not close their expectations.

Unless your going the extra steps of reading reviews and searching through the thread I can absolutely see why someone would think this is aimed at them.

If the content tags and overview appeal, then it most likely is something for them. However, expecting more beyond what's made available to read in the OP alone is no one else's fault but their own.
For some, it's not a problem and won't bother. For others, they'll complain that their expections haven't been met, regardless of how unreasonable or unrealistic those expectations are or may be.

Now where people being completely hyperbolic and over the top of course but I can understand some frustration.

On those occaisions when frustration is warranted, then sure... However the vast majority of it stems from nothing in the content tags or OP, and entirely from their own preconceived notions of what is and isn't a certain type of kink as well as how they think a developer should make their charcters to be like.

As for all the arguments about this and that either enjoy the story for what it is. That whatever the Dev. has in mind, or move along... If the Dev policing his work offends you Adios. It's his vision and his sweat. It seems amazing to me that writing is the only line of work that people feel entitled to belittle the work of another with impunity. Or feel that they deserve to have their input be accepted as some saving methodology as the only thing staving off ruin. Then there is the Shaksperian NTR crowd... I've been looking at the latest reviews and it's not fair to give low scores just because Mrs Parker is a slut. It's normal to feel uncomfortable, but it doesn't make sense to turn it into a bad evaluation.
People screaming ntr here are also not normal because our main character was not cheated in any way. The only thing that hasn't changed anywhere in the world is that Mrs Parker is a slut, but she's not a lover right now, so her sluttiness cannot be considered ntr.

Another problem is that people are used to playing unrealistic VN. These games, where almost every girl is a virgin Virgin Mary, have created the wrong perception. As far as the MC, I think he's going to develop more as the story goes on. Sure in CH1, he was at a disadvantage given his lack of experience and lack of manifestation but that's already changing as of CH2. Besides that, I never got the impression that he was weak willed. He takes teasing and insult in stride and doesn't let it get under his skin and remains confident. That to me shows strength of character.

By CH2, he's a sexual natural that instantly has some of the most powerful superheroins after his cock and he's probably one of the most powerful supers in the story with a hot girlfriend that lets him fuck chicks to gain more powers. So I really don't get the criticisms saying the MC is weak. Doesn't seem that way to me. Maybe he starts out like a pervy simp that masturbates too much, but I think it's fair to say he can save money on tissues now.

As far as everything else, you're spot on. Most of the girls aren't even romantically involved with the MC yet so whatever they do sexually is of no consequence. They're grown ass women so it's normal for them to be sexually active. It's dumb that some people are so butthurt about it that they'll leave bad reviews, so I'm thinking about leaving my own 5-star review to offset the review bombers.

They'll get hung-up on their own interpretations of the netorare rule (not helped by its ambiguousness) and their interpretation of what makes a character a LI for the MC.

Even the game's intro screen with the "Default/Safe modes" choice explains the real problem...

And if a dev gets rattled left and right by people's outcries left and right and tries to cater to all of them, it generally leads to the decline of the game.
Seen it happen with couple of the devs.

The Dev(s) should make the game he/she/they want, and not bow to pressure from a small group of disgruntled posters.
Before I download a game I always check the tags. If a game has tags that I don't want, I give it a pass. I don't immediately go on the forum thread and trash the Dev(s) for having or not having the tags that I want. It's the Dev(s) game and they can include and exclude whatever content they wish. If a game doesn't suit my tastes, then I just move on and look for something else.
Whining about what a game has and does not have just makes you look pathetic.
For those who don't like what this game offers, well, you are free to ignore this game. Better yet how about you create your own game with the tags that you want. Upload it here and let other whiners trash your tag decisions, and see how you like it.

Before I download a game I always check the tags. If a game has tags that I don't want, I give it a pass.

I'd say, maybe that's a bit extreme. I mean the game can have tags we don't like, but those can be optional.

Like, I am not a great fan of lesbian content for example, but it's optional here, you can opt it out, not only that, but you also can get alternative scene instead, isn't it great?

But yeah, 100% agree, even if the game has smth I don't like, I don't complain or demand smth from Dev, nobody forced me to play the game. I chose it and played it. It's like to get a new TV at home, but then send a demand list to the company asking to change their production line because I didn't like some things in that TV. A bit exaggerated example, but still.

And considering that Dev really gave it all to the game (it's a really HQ product), it's really upsetting when he gets swarmed like this after every update.
I saw it before, unfortunately not everybody can hold still under all this harassment. It's mentally exhausting and has impact on motivation in general.
