No hope and no signs of life, accept the fact that it's gone for good , you will just feel disappointment the more you hope for nothing, better move on and find some other games to entertain you
Apparently since the patreon account is paused monthly there's still hope the dev is alive if not well enough to maintain
developing or even communicating with the outside world.
There are other games out there but this one is (/was) one of my favorites.

Other games ahve been picked back up after a year or two. No reason to give up hope yet, esp considering the author is atleast showing signs of life on patreon.

I disagree, by now all hope is gone. I mean sure, games do get picked up after a long hiatus, but in almost all instances they get abandoned again or in the best case they get rushed to an unsatisfactory ending.

lol wtf are you talking about? too late? deadline? if the dev wanted to he could resume the game tomorrow.
f95 zone have deadlines for devs to do updates and if they missed the deadline it becomes abandonded if f95 feel the dev has stopped they abandoned it unless cedsence contacts f95 to say hes back it stays abandoned

yeah no shit, the way you worded it made it sound like you think it cant come back once its been marked, which couldnt be further from the truth.

Aw man, what happened to this master piece of a game..
Ongoing health issues as it seems. Maybe some complicated surgery or long term treatment or extreme burnout but we'll never know for sure until Cedsence decides to come back and write a public post about it.

To illustrate a bit how difficult it really is to pinpoint motivations behind these kinds of sudden absences I remember the dev from a game called Harem went MIA one day and came back just about a year and a half later and as It turned out we ended up discovering (to the surprise of absolutely everyone) that he had left because of the Castro Brothers' case, because it "hit too close to home" with his game's theme and lore and his guilt somewhat prevented him from continuing his work.

So let it be a cautionary tale that despite sounding like a seemingly stupid excuse to us you never really know whats happening inside someone mind and what the person is feeling and all that jazz.

...still wondering if some kind of work was done last May though.

I've talked to Ced a few times I think he is the type to wait till he can put in 100% on his game. I know he loves making it

In no way at all connected to this one, but it's certainly a classic. 3DCG (the software) and all. Personally, I think it's great, though I only go in every year or so to get a good stretch of story.

... I haven't actually played our fate in over a year, but now that I know there's effectively a dead end, I just don't feel like it anymore.
