That Ivy/Lena corruption of Holly path doesn't exactly comes prepackaged with a detailed description of what's going to happen, yes, one could expect she gets on the pole, Ivy goes full Major Payne on her coochie with her arsenal of toys and Holly opens up about wanting to suck dragons or whatnot, but the first time Ivy sends Lena some pictures of Holly with the Big Tuna guy I was like oh hell no and was set to trying to figure out a way to make her go that way, with the adequately high holly_change variable, but without this particular thing occurring. It's a wild ride, I'll tell you that, so far my conclusion is at the mild variation Tuna still gets to feel her up somewhat, so now in my main save Holly stays home, far away from the sinful ways of the world or anything remotely like that.
Nah let Holly join in pole dancing to increase her confidence. Lena just needs to keep Ivy from having too much influence on her. Ivy has always been very sexual so it was pretty obvious the direction she would try and take Holly to find her confidence. I was shocked tho about how open Holly was to Kiss Ivy when Lena returned from her parents. The only reason I redid the Lena/Holly/Ivy path is because it blocks the Lena/Holly romance.

Meaning, the game might become a GGGB copy. A vanilla game will never be Eva's thing.
Here is the grandious thing: EK specifcally wanted NOT to make another GGGB copy. She wanted to create a new story and likely broaden her field of writing. Which, for the first 6 chapters, was going well, a little bland but had promise.

Then came the reworks. Wade got reworked to having a job to not having one, which made no sense on why that changed happened. Then we got the famously imfamous "Stan Update", that was touted to change and add on to Stans character, only for nothing to be changed at all. Which also came a full rework with the Prologue, which again NO ONE ASKED FOR.

And yet, despite saying and claiming via the FaQs that ORS 'isn't gonna turn into another GGGB', thats exactly what EK has turned this game into, while continually lying about pairings that have yet to given there due. It is truly and utterly astounding how botched this game has been, with continued empty promises, failed delieveries, all for the sake of catering to fetishist money traps.

you mean less kinks? GGGB was real wild
Considering were are supposedly 13 chapters into either a 16(if so, fuck this game entirely for how miss managed it has been) to 20 chapter fuck fest of likely more NTR, cucking, Andreas wet dream of Dubai and Tokyo slave route or whatever bullshit, it will be More, not less.

I do not agree. It was just sex with very little erotica in my view. I liked it more for the humor; like Ashley showing up for a job interview in a "thug life" outfit and the like.

I am a little curious as to what it was like back then. I looked back to when I first started posting and realize that it was during chapter 11 that I first began to play.

It could be that EK is writing very slowly so as not to spoil an erotic adventure. It is much easier to lazily throw in a shallow sex fest than to slowly tease your way in the mind gaming fashion that the LSD arc demands.

Btw, SerHawkes , while I respect your wanting to see a Tokyo slave route, I do not believe it is in the cards. If Lena does ever leave Dubai, I fear the final destination will unfortunately, be Bangkok.

edit: I would like to point out, for what it is worth, that when I began the game (chapter 11), the genre listed "light BDSM" whereas now it has been changed to "BDSM".

Not much has changed from back then until now, with the exception to the reworkings of Stan and Wade, and Billy's whitewashing which to this day hasn't been explained. Ever since around Chapter 6 and the start of the reworkings, things have gone from a story that could have had either Lena vs Geymour or give into it, and Ian go either way with his writing or martial arts, and firmly build up the pairs and characters already in the game (which EK had said in a FaQ that she wasn't going to expand on the cast of characters at the time because there were already too many, lo and behold that turned into a lie) through each chapter, has turned into what we currently see now.

To me, and I'm sure others will agree with me here, EK lost her confidence in her own writing. Rather than stick with her story and give a little pandering here and there and let her story be it's main focus, she stopped doing that and has gone full on 'gotta try and make my patron happy with kink shit'. That's my analysis of what this games turned into.

Also, I don't want to see the Tokyo slave route, or anything involved on that route with Geymour. I want my Lena happy with Holly and my Ian with Ivy and 12 kids. Sadly, that part won't happen any time in the next decade.

I know that; I was having some fun. Excepting the work load, there is no reason we can't both be satisfied via branching routes. I do not play a porn game for romance.

The biggest problem is with the way Cherry's introduction is handled. The only way to start her route is in the very first meeting with her. Every other LI you have a bit of time to get to know them before deciding to start anything. I wonder how many people didn't even know she has a route/that they missed it since they thought they could start it later. Personally she feels like a dlc character(like Jasmin) who was designed to not really mess with the story. That would explain why she barely interacts with anyone else.

And then after you start her route, you have to wait 4 chapters for her next scene (not counting sexting). That is if you haven't swapped to Alison's. Most of her scenes coming from chapter 9 and onwards is no coincidence.

Not that it matters to the discussion or at all but EK did explain in a Patreon Q&A a couple years ago why she turned Billy white. The reasoning however was really poor. If memory serves it was something along the lines of "there's already a black character in the game" or that she didn't want it to be too similar to GGGB with the playboy black dude and his friend spitroasting white girls. Her answer was posted on this thread at the time but I can't find it. As for the change itself, hey at least it didn't take like 6 months to basically only change a character's appearance amirite Stan :HideThePain:

It happened right after Alison could get into a threesome with him and Jeremy and the collective fandom started frothing at the mouth over it (for various reasons). So that tracks.
