Feels like I'm the only person here that wants just a nice normal romantic / casual relationship game that doesn't turn into some extreme scenario. The best part of the game is it feels fairly believable (if exaggerated) story that a group of young adults could find themselves in.
Yeah you are a minority no doubt... But i want Eva to have routes from a romantic story to full on depraved perverted sex game and everything in between...

You're definitely in the Minority but surely not alone with this Opinion! I also like ORS way more than GGGB because of the realistic writing of Characters and Scenarios. ORS is really a good Game for me and not just porn in form of a Game like most of the Games I played here before (but of course I also love the Porn and most of the Scenes are really hot but if I want mostly extreme Stuff than I just play GGGB again).

All in all I like this Game this much mostly because of the Reasons you stated in your Post.

You're far from the only person who wants that - there's quite a few of us who love the slice-of-life-with-a-bit-of-added-spice format. Nothing wrong for those who are into the more extreme stuff, but there are SO many games that go that way already out there, and it's really nice when a game caters towards those of us who like it a bit more realistic, too.

I don't think you're the only one who wants that, and I don't think the two scenarios exclude each other either. I agree that the fact that it's realistic is one of the game's biggest strengths, and I also prefer the more romantic routes for my main playthrough. But for the replayability I think it makes the game better when there's some darker stuff in there as well. And Eva is a good writer, so it's interesting to see how far she can push some of the storylines – while still keeping it realistic.

How are they unlikeable? Most of them are pretty much just your average young woman. I mean, each to their own, but I'm interested to know the sort of girls you find likeable if you find the ones in this game so unlikeable.
To me, every female character is well fleshed out and written. Even the ones with less screen time like Cherry, Emma, and Molly

That's the best part about this game. You can choose what you want. Don't want it to be kinky? No problem! Don't go that route. I would say your best bet for that would be to either pursue Holly or Ian/Lena and focus on your wits stat. I believe even GGGB had a lovey dovey more vanilla route too.

To be fair, it's not very hard to find vanilla games with a tad of realism either imo. What I've found hard, is for a game like this to deliver both extreme and vanilla in such a well made and compelling way. Too many times have I played extreme games with borderline moronic characters with nothing interesting or extremely boring vanilla. I think Eva really is a breath of fresh air with her writing and how she's able to take things we've seen many times before but make it interesting and make us actually have more thought into the characters we're interacting with/playing as.

I agree with your logic regarding limited resources as a general point, but if the trip back to her parents is included in the next chapter, there would have to be at least one background for that part of the story, wouldn't it? It would be a very odd choice to use Lena's mother's sickness as a cliffhanger if the trip to visit her isn't actually a playable part of the next chapter.

I'm still a bit unsure what that trip would bring to the story, though, so I wouldn't mind if it turned out to be Alison's (or Cindy's) room.
Yea sure. But it seems the discussion here presupposes that Lena will be returning to her parents' house. Was it ever confirmed by Eva or was it just teased at the end of ch 8?

I'm just saying what if Lena doesn't even return home? Maybe it's just a cliffhanger? Take the end of ch 7 for example. Ian gets caught fking Cindy. Then ch 8 begins but we dont see the immediate aftermath of his getting caught by Jeremy and Ivy.

If Perry goes to the party, it's Jeremy and Perry who catch Ian.

I think Lena going home within the events of the game is a given. It would abnormal to have Lena choose not to visit her mum, or make no mention of it since it's the elephant in the room of her storyline right now. I can't see how that could be avoided/skipped over without feeling like anything but bad writing.

In terms of Ian x Cindy in the aftermath of the whole sex thing, for the sake of suspense and drama it served the story better that chapter 8 didn't take off immediately after the events in the alley. Besides which, chapter 8 picks up the slack filling in the blank by having Ian think of it several times, Cindy going away, and Ian's schedule not lining up with Jeremy's (or them both avoiding each other) - drawing out all the juicy stuff and implications for maximum effect, so the payoff is far better when it comes.

My guess is that chapter 9 will open with Lena's visit to her mum - I can't imagine it making sense any other way.

You know what i wouldn't mind? A "Cucking Perry" route.

Now THAT'D be a breath of fresh air, you doing the cucking and having Perry be some sort of pervy voyeur.

I don’t think Eva has confirmed it, no.

It's true that the immediate aftermath of a cliffhanger like the one in ch. 7 isn't always shown, but I don't think that's completely comparable to the end of ch. 8. In ch. 7 the main event – Ian and Cindy in the back alley – had already played out. The consequences from it, and from Jeremy and Ivy catching them, are bound to be shown at some point, independent of how that tense meeting between the four of them played out.

In the cliffhanger of ch. 8, the only thing that's happened is the phone call where Lena's dad tells her she needs to come home. The fact that Lena's mother's health problems are introduced into the story, needs to have some kind of consequences for the story as a whole. It could of course affect the story without Lena going home – it could affect her financial problems, for example, thus making her more reliant on the persons she can make money from. But if I remember correctly, Lena's dad said "We need you to come home". I don't think Eva would have written the dialogue like that if if wasn't to indicate that she'll actually do so in the coming chapter.

cenes look out of place from time to time. This was my impression with the shopping scene in Chapter 8, where I could only show the main street background as the girls bounced from store to store. I felt having a shopping mall background adds to the experience and opens up new possibilities, since it's a place that the player will be visiting several times during the game, so I thought it was worth it to invest in getting it done.
Again we have a game of "Whose room is this?"
I'm guessing from the poster it has to be Minerva. Has 40 year old energy

Must be killing people not getting their fix? Was one of the better adult games out there, might check it out when it gets it's next update, but that'll be a huge gap between plays. Is the storying going to continue in the same fashion, or could be in line for a revamp, we're often at the mercy of the writers swinging sensibilities and the sheer support this game has could breed indifference? I doubt that's the case however.

Wait, this is not true?! I've never seen this Scenario because Perry always goes to Wade's Birthday Party but always has to leave the Club earlier? In every Scenario I've played it was always Jeremy and Ivy who caught IanxCindy.

Can somebody confirm this if it's true? :D
Yea I'm confused as well. IIRC Perry always caused a ruckus with the bouncer which drags Ian out of the dance with Cindy.

I don't think this is true. Otherwise Perry surely would've told Wade in chapter 8, and that reveal hasn't happened yet. I've played through quite a few combinations and never seen Perry catch Ian. Is it even possible for Perry to skip Wade's birthday?
