I feel so uncomfortable playing this. I don't know why. I've played thousands of other porn games but this one in particular makes me feel horrible for playing.
Edit: Oh god it got so much worse.
:ROFLMAO: I'm going to guess you're still in the prologue (specifically the Greek yogurt part), before all the Carnations are revealed. It does gets a lot tamer in some aspects after that, when you gradually get Mina and Hana to balance out the skeeviness, but the story is still centered around an unsavory and exploitative setting.

I would say keep playing and give it a chance, but out of respect for your time, it might also just not be your sort of story.

Yeah Hana and Mina are pretty much the saving graces of this game if you ask me. Though i might just keep playing if only to see Kathleen gets fucked in a figurative sense.

Careful. I will tolerate no slandering or diminishment of the Carnations in my presence.

Joking aside, thousands of porn games (wow) and this is the one that gets you huh? I find that.. bizarre. I've played like 50 and probably 7 or 8 of them were much 'worse' than this in terms of its content.

I'd have figured Law of Averages and all that would've had you stumble upon one of them, but then again there are thousands of super vanilla porn games out there.

The thousands is really only valid if I'm including the flash porn games I've played from the last two decades of depravity.
As for the bizarre comment, I usually avoid games that give me a hint that they're going to resort to one-sided humiliation and exploitation. I like my games where both partners are enjoying themselves even if it's due to exterior factors like mind control or repeated exposure to sex. This one just makes me feel bad for exploiting the women in it. But that's not a bad thing, it's a sign of good writing if a story can make you feel something when it's conveying it's story. I've played plenty of games with similar concepts but they're usually not as good as this one in causing me to feel emotionally invested in the stories and characters.

I find it quite plausible. This game has a fairly unusual take on corruption in that it emphasizes the way corruption damages the people it touches. PC doesn't skimp on the sexy fun times, but it also portrays the 'normalizing' of those fun times as a worrying thing, for the MC as much as for the girls.

I think it's an excellent take since I'm very invested in a game about coercion and humiliation, which normally I would want no part of. Indeed, I'm still a bit nervous about where it will all end up. But I trust TD and GIL to walk the tightrope through to the end.

Pretty much this. Usually "corruption games" start with a protagonist who is already a pervert and pretty much a teenager rapist and a bunch of women who fall in love at the first sight of his 40cm "bad dragon" dick. :ROFLMAO:

So they are pretty simplistic on this aspect when compared to the time the developers put into all the blackmailing stuff and the guilty associated with having to participate in the "games" for some of the parts involved: the carnations and Edwin mostly - Kathleen and "uncle" Joe couldn't give a shit. :devilish: .

What are the games that made you uncomfortable?

Most people have their favourite kink but can sometimes enjoy othr different kinks if the story is well written. For myself I am not into BDSM but accept that other are. I admit that PC is pushing my boundaries of what I like but I am so far enjoying the developing story. For example I let Edwin go a bit further with what I am comfortable with, purely to get a scene with Kathleen that I had been hoping for as soon as we met her.

But having found my personal limit, for as long as still have the choice of exactly how far to push the Carnations, I am happy to forego going beyond those limits even if it means that I miss some scenes.

I think this has been brought up before, but I feel the reason why some people find PC so striking is because its corruption is of Edwin more so than any of the main girls (so far). He’s a Pre-med student who is kinda just floating through life at the beginning of the game and questions who and what he really is morally. All of a sudden, he’s thrust into this world of temptation and debauchery, with no filter whatsoever. This makes him uneasy and excited at the same time, duality of man type stuff. The beauty of what is being done with PC is that it’s the player themselves that gets asked these questions, what would they do in this situation? What is and isn’t right, and what is and isn’t justifiable? That’s the greatness of PC in my opinion, but some people may find it uncomfortable to be asked such things.

Maybe because he didn't want to draw attention to that particular VN. Heaven's know that stunt shouldn't be rewarded, regardless of the fan boys opinions.
If it is the VN I think you talk about, I agree definitely! That was really a WTF stunt, esp. since there was enough time to do both. Forcing to choose one, when the situation allows for you or helpers to do both options is something that should not make school! I am sure we will not see something similar in PC. What we have seen so far is absolutely great and the choices have impact, but are not forced by Deus Ex.
