I see! In numbers, Pale Carnations is about at version 0.45-0.50. The game is about half done, we have 2 more "Event weekends" and the various Final endings, depending on what we did before.

What even happens of you have the same girl winning the first three events? Isn't the fourth pointless then? Or will it be like family duel where the first couple of rounds hardly count anything and everything is decided in the last?

I played the game already until ch4 up1. I'm mostly just interested in how many updates there have been until now

The initial release which covered chapter 1, chapter 2 spanned a couple of updates, chapter 3 was 4, and so far Chapter 4 is up to 2. All-in-all, there's been 8 total updates if you don't include the very first release. I would say we're more than halfway finished, but as you can see, chapters have gotten bigger as time as went on.

As of Ch4Up2, there has been 18,911 images, 452 animations, and a total of 466,330 words. I estimate only 50% of the text is chups, so maybe just half that last number.

Is there a list of the music tracks used in the game?

Game crashes on me whenever i start new game, only 1 render plays then it crashes.
I did everything u told.
Extracted it with an app, installed apk, moved extracted folder to Renpy and it doesnt work

Am I doing something wrong? I install it as instructed and it runs but crashes when I go on new game.

I found the solution to the crashes. In the code for Android the location to an image file was wrong. I have fixed it here is the patch. Paste screens.rpyc in Renpy/com.lewdgamerxxx.pale_carnations/game/folder.

I looked through it, and couldn't find find it. There were however some tracks that were greyed out and I couldn't click them.
I'm guessing because I didn't play the scene with the music used?

So lets presume only Final game is matters and those 3 games were Just for fun

I don't know this is getting complex and I'm still not sure what the paths are. I'll hate to have to go back to a previous save if I can even remember where that save was before I made a choice between girls. I have been giving it some thought and might let the game progress a lot more where there are defined paths to choose from so I can have a better experience. I already replayed the game 5 times just because I couldn't remember the choices I chose by the time the next update comes along. Great job so far Dev it's one of a kind game. Happy Easter to everyone!

For the lounge, the choice to take her hand or not does (somewhat) dictate if Edwin is cold or warm to her during their conversation. Although, you might be talking about the hag handy/punishment game scene in the blue room... there I'd argue his disposition is being affected by Sophia's perfume. You can see Edwin's lack of filter in earlier scenes with the aphrodisiac too; he becomes pretty frank when under its affect.

In hindsight, I do think being able to modulate Edwin's tone during the concluding Abel scene would have been appropriate. GIL himself thought it stuck out like a sore thumb when he first read it, as did one of our proofreaders. I maintain that Edwin has sufficient reason to be irritated over the situation, and it's not like he's playing toward an endgame (yet), but he is typically characterized as being mindful around the club's patrons. Him getting a handle on the situation wouldn't be out of character. On the flip side, I also think there's something to be said for him having rare moments of honesty. Everyone reacts emotionally on occasion and he's still a dorky 22-year old kid after all.

Edwin is a pretty well-defined character as far as porn game MCs go, so it's sometimes tricky to discern where it's appropriate to railroad his responses and where to allow the reader to choose how to processes situations and act on them. I appreciate when people point out these incongruities. Multiple gut feelings is useful information when what I'm working off of is a single gut feeling, although obviously I take them with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure yet, but I may just go back and iterate on that scene some to give the player some choice in characterizing Edwin's outward responses. As vague as Abel is in that scene, it's a pretty foundational scene for Edwin going forward, so it bears some consideration.

All your point are completely understandable and honestly i didn't remember Edwin former scene before you pointed it out. Perhaps i wouldn't even have given second thought about Edwin last scene if i did not read up other people concern. I didn't meant it as a critic and the update is reeeally good, don't get me wrong! i was completely drawn by the story all along my playthrough and i've been stating the few bad momentary opinions that i had like a crazy twittos despite all the good one that i could have said.
To add a few hindsight to my last message, what bothered me was that i had the social chameleon trait and i guess a social chameleon would only get mad on purpose, but i certaily put too much into it, you're right, MC's still young.

Anyway, i love your game, keep up the good work, i'll be waiting for the next update!
