As anticipated, we got a new dev diary today!

It's been two weeks since our last diary, so TD & GIL have been averaging 75 statics, 10 animations and ~2480 words per week over that time. In the big picture, they're currently averaging roughly 113 statics, 3.7 animations and 3160 words per week since work on Chapter 4 Update 3 began. Here are the charts for Week 15(ish):

No surprise, animations shot up as Veronica's date was concluded. Statics are still a little on the light side, but otherwise this update is relatively comparable to the norm so the release makes sense. I do hope we'll get back to multi-day updates at some point in the future, but if TD feels more frequent updates improves the process I see no reason to complain. That's especially true here, where I am exceptionally keen to see just how the MC will connect with Veronica on a personal level. The next few weeks will probably feel longer than they actually are, but that's the price of anticipation.
A Pale Carnations update is one of the few things that can make me take a break from Baldurs Gate 3 in August, I think.

Kinda funny how many people are planning on playing BG 3 everywhere. Almost feels like an GTA release at times even though it is a hardcore cRPG and probably not suited for a really mainstream audience. :ROFLMAO:

After the superb work Larian studios did with Divinity Original Sin 2 it is no surprise a lot of people are interested in this game. :)

I would have said the same for Elden Ring, targeted to hardcore players, and yet a commercial success

I have two saves and I'll play Hana girlfriend first, though I certainly hope we get to fool around with Harper and Dalia too (without guys in the scene, can't enjoy those at all).
I also wish we could always send Ian to replace us in lewd scenes with carnations we're not fond of. Just fade to a black screen at the end of the scene, so no extra rendering time is wasted.

I guess to stay somewhat on topic: what are you playing as first, and who are you romancing?
I play a nice Edwin, who wants to have amiable relations with the people around him, but he can make hard or strategic choices if he thinks them waranted. For example, while he tries to circumvent most "ideas" Kath has, he also does enough to keep some of her currently needed trust.
As for romance, my top 3 choices are Hana, Felicia and hopefully we get the option to go further here in coming updates, Sophia Lundgren.
