Why would it be a "wtf"? Edwin and Hana have known each other for literally a couple of weeks, and know very little about what sort of people the other person is. It'd be perfectly sensible to hold off from going all "Let's be boyfriend and girlfriend!" with so little between them. And an extra week isn't going to do much to alleviate that, if that's the basis for the decision.

If it were a normal extra week, maybe. But if it’s an extra week of working in a club like that, that’s a different story. I just felt the MC should’ve been given more time to choose one girl, and not get lumped in with Hana so soon after just one date and a fuck. But there are people who wanted that, so it’s okay. Again, that’s why I said I hope we get the option to choose again in the future.

In my mind its whether Edwin and Hana are meant to be together ( how much stuff they got in common and their sexual tension ) or they are not so a week or two doesn't matter as cheesy as it may sound that's kinda love at first sight type of thing

It's just that I started looking at it from the wrong angle. I've played my fair share of crappy NTR AVNs and read doujins with way worse stuff than this (I still wouldn’t call myself a fan thou). And it’s not like I’ve never been to a brothel in real life (not this kind obviously lol).

What I mean by starting on the wrong foot is that I had been leaning heavily into the romance genre lately with all the media I was consuming, like VNs/books/manga/anime. Just a phase, i guess. So when I started this, I think I self inserted pretty hard, which obviously doesn’t match the tone or theme here. But once I got that sorted out and just approached it as a story, and since you guys vouched for it being a damn good one, I obviously couldn’t quit.

Now I’m actually enjoying it and appreciating the characters a lot more.

To be fair and honest, the biggest thing that resonated with me was the film noir aspect to it all. MC being morally grey, having a choice between light and dark, and debauchery in the sordid underbelly are things I love from old movies like Casablanca or even Dick Tracy to cyberpunk movies such as Max Headroom or Blade Runner.

Romance is still a great genre, no question. But PC is asking you to decide what type of person Edwin is going to be and I think that, with the choices inside that give strong impact, are very interesting to engage.

Despite being a western VN, PC has the flair, cinematography and the eroticism of Japanese VNs, and Japanese media in general. Most AVNs on here are inspired by typical western porn/shows, but PC is like a love letter to fans of the Japanese VNs but with more western sensibilities.

Very few VNs on here have the style and drama that PC has. TD and GIL clearly have a strong artistic direction, and the game has maintained the same focus and tone for the 5 years it's been under development without losing or changing much, except the art getting exponentially better with time.

The noir elements remind me heavily of the older Japanese mystery VNs, such as Yu-No, Higurashi and even Cartagra. PC definitely has a very unique flavor that few other games on here can match.

The writers had no reason to make that date with Ronnie so good. The chemistry was off the charts. Honestly, there was more chemistry than with the girls his own age, like Hana and Mina.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, this game handles dates and romantic moments better than 99% of games that focus solely on romance. I'd love to see them make a game entirely centered on romance after this one. Then again, maybe not, perhaps the romance scenes in this game feel so powerful because they're contrasted with the darker moments.

Also the sex dialogue puts the bow on the package. Adds a layer of authenticity to everything when its written like actual sex and not the usual: " Your cock is so big and fills me up to my cervix. OOOOHHH SHHHIIIITTT!!!." Squirt squirt. After 2 thrusts and 1 minute of foreplay.

I doubt it will go the way you seem to think going by your phrasing. That event was a mixture of self-testing the new version of the drug Sophia invented and hiding in plain sight. Abel and Sophia, even with stuff like this happening, stick out like sore thumbs among the gold members of the club. Which is clear since they are at the club not for sex and the competition, but for helping Kath and their own plans, which are of the kind becoming Caliph instead of the Caliph.
