While it's true we watch the story through MC's eyes it doesn't mean the presence of characters should be determined by whether they are connected to MC, and vacate the premises if MC chooses to fuck someone else. If nothing else, by being a relative outsider Mina provides perspective/role to the story the other characters lack, given they're in the thick of it.
The story is only going to last another in-game week, after the exhibition in the next update. If you feel now it's too soon, it's hardly going to be less too soon a week later.
Why would it be a "wtf"? Edwin and Hana have known each other for literally a couple of weeks, and know very little about what sort of people the other person is. It'd be perfectly sensible to hold off from going all "Let's be boyfriend and girlfriend!" with so little between them. And an extra week isn't going to do much to alleviate that, if that's the basis for the decision.
If it were a normal extra week, maybe. But if it’s an extra week of working in a club like that, that’s a different story. I just felt the MC should’ve been given more time to choose one girl, and not get lumped in with Hana so soon after just one date and a fuck. But there are people who wanted that, so it’s okay. Again, that’s why I said I hope we get the option to choose again in the future.
Even if you break it off with her, she still pops up in the story. She's important for both Ian and Hana's character development.
To be fair and honest, the biggest thing that resonated with me was the film noir aspect to it all. MC being morally grey, having a choice between light and dark, and debauchery in the sordid underbelly are things I love from old movies like Casablanca or even Dick Tracy to cyberpunk movies such as Max Headroom or Blade Runner.
TD is the writer, in case you didn't know. I don't need to repeat which date I think is the best, but honestly, I like then all and they're all great. Like I mentioned in a previous post, this game handles dates and romantic moments better than 99% of games that focus solely on romance. I'd love to see them make a game entirely centered on romance after this one. Then again, maybe not, perhaps the romance scenes in this game feel so powerful because they're contrasted with the darker moments.
Also the sex dialogue puts the bow on the package. Adds a layer of authenticity to everything when its written like actual sex and not the usual: " Your cock is so big and fills me up to my cervix. OOOOHHH SHHHIIIITTT!!!." Squirt squirt. After 2 thrusts and 1 minute of foreplay.
I’d love to see a pure mafia game from these devs. That would be peak.
