I doubt it will go the way you seem to think going by your phrasing. That event was a mixture of self-testing the new version of the drug Sophia invented and hiding in plain sight. Veronica date is for sure my favorite one. Also feels like the most rewarding girl to fuck considering how the relationship with her starts and it's a long process of getting her to like Edwin.

Well, in the Pale Carnations universe it is a coin toss who we trust. Among the PC leadership only August is at least partially trustworthy, I would trust Kath and Chuck about as far as I can throw a 40 tons truck.
Abel and Sophia have currently mysterious motives, which makes trusting them difficult, but they have some pretty big humanitarian deeds under their belts in universe. Not that this would keep them from shady actions.

As for Sophia, she is a real genius, something which comes coupled with eccentrism in variable amounts.

Like maybe the fact that she drugs everyone in a room just by being in it, to test her concoctions? That might be a tip, when someone is a walking roofie.

That is not correct, Sophia only uses her "special perfume" when it is unproblematic, like the Club.

No time soon. We're at least 4 months out at a rough guess, and it could easily by longer than that. It really depends on how big and complex the third Exhibition will be. [Assuming the devs don't decide to release the next update in two halves. They've said they'd prefer not to, but things could change.]

Highly improbabla! Not only are the humanitarian deeds of those two well known in universe, they are also consistant over time. I am reasonably sure that this trait is one major reason Abel and Sophia detest Chuck in special.
Further we know that Abel and Sophia have access to special black ops labs, they have zero reason to test the drug at the Club. They could test the drugs to their heart´s content and with no risk of exposure there.
While the two doctors are not squeaky clean due to their the end justifies the means stance, they are different from most people in the club. They stand out and their decadent acts are mostly to fit in on the surface.
As for Sophia spreading the legs, you followed them onto the glue, there are enough hints in-game that the gangbang was very unusual, part selftest and part cover up. Hiding the fact that Abel and Sophia do not really fit into the club, but try to fit in until their plans come together.

Yes. The free roam aspect is to blame I suspect. And by all indications, this is going to be a big one.

Exhibitions tend to be the biggest update at the time of release, though not by a huge amount. Between the free roam and the stage show there's a lot of important stuff happening, and that takes time to create.
