Now, having lost my previous saves folders i'm replaying the game from the start. It will take patience but it's also a good story to recap.

But i suddenly had a curiosity. Who's this statue meant to represent, if anyone in particular?

It looks like a sort of greek divinity with strong oriental (in the ancient meaning of the term, let's say, middle eastern) influences.

Might it be Selene, given that she's olding a moon crescent? Is it ever mentioned in the game? Any speculation?

I don't think they ever mentioned that statue ingame, I believe it's only used as decoration and nothing else.

I've played Skyrim many years ago, but i was never really bought into Elder Scrolls lore, even if i played Morrowind so long ago and Daggerfall in my long lost youth, so i would never have recognized it.

Damn, i think Daggerfall was the game i've hated the most in my life. Not that it was bad by any means. It had its problems but back in the days it was something never seen before. Just it had random generated dungeons (as far as i know) and one of those was unsolvable in the main quest, so i had to give up midgame after many hours.

Sophia naturally But even if I were not the maybe official leader of the Sophia faction, I would have chosen her during the orgy.
Allison is a symbolic stand-in for the Club and everything that is wrong with it. Chosing her is a step towards accepting the Club andit´s doings. Going towards corruption, depravity and evil.
Sophia is a symbolic stand-in for the twilight grey path. She opposes the Club and what it stands for valiantly, but she is also a person for whom the ends justify the means. Sophia is one of the few spots of light in the club, even if hers has some dark schlieren as well.
The "white" path would be to not participate in the orgy at all.

Fantastic story and some huge steps forward in uncovering just how rotten the Club is. This is a -rough- place to end the update though. IIRC those of us on the Patreon had a poll requesting the competition be included in this update even if it took longer to release. M&J ignored the results and fair enough obviously, it's their story, but I feel like this is a shitty story beat to leave us hanging on for 8-12 more months.

If you used Shawn's mod then re-extract the game and play without it. The mod force a stop at the end of Ch4Up5. You can also just delete the last file in the mod folder.

The thing with Allison actually got me thinking, and possibly there to make the player in general think: have any of the carnations been altogether truthful? Is one of the sob stories potentially fake? You know, we don't see Rose's daughter once, with the excuse that she sent her to camp while she endures the month of hell, but what if there's more going on?

Makes you wonder...

We do see Rose's daughter; not in person, but a picture of her is hanging on Rose's fridge that she looks at as Edwin talks to her on the phone after the photoshoot part of the competition.

Sounds like a mod acting up. A game stopping a the same point as before is often an outdated walkthrough mod and/or other story dependent mods.
