Vincenzo IS a total deviant, you have a scene in this very update where Allison was seeking clues and she found it in Vincenzo's ass. And while Joe Shelby and Kristoff are definitely the elite among patrons same can be said about Abel, Frank or Waylon (who seems to be some wolf from Wall Street, judging by comparison to Gordon Gekko).

Samson on the other hand might be the biggest deviant of them all judging by his comment here:

I can agree that Eric wouldn't want to see this because Felicia is his favourite but then again he would most likely want to see Elias' expression when he would learn the truth about his wife so who knows.

Either way it would be strange if the rest of patrons wouldn't join in the event in a while (in fact I'm sure they will, this is the main perk of being the member of this club after all).

August is August and Chuck is Chuck. August is a tough gangster who would gut you if you looked at him wrong so it's no surprise he would say something like that. Kat is a pure sadist so she would like to see Elias squirm too most likely but Chuck? I can see him spilling the beans and saying something along the lines "just don't make it too obvious I've told you".

Chuck: "I won't tell Kathy you're slacking off if you don't tell her I stole your charge. Deal?"

Why would he want to keep his talk with Elias a secret from Kat otherwise? Well, there is more than one reason but it also aligns with the theory that Chuck told him what's what.

Yeah, that "hazing" is the strongest argument against Chuck telling him about it, that's why I said "it wouldn't surprise me if...". I just find it plausible. Although, it's not like the blow Elias is dealt doesn't pack a punch, he just knows when it will come letting him mentally prepare for it so IMO it can go either way.

On the other hand the strongest argument for this theory is that they wouldn't want to antagonise the future mayor/governor. Elias could react in various ways and killing someone like him would be very problematic and would bring a heat like never before. I'm not sure Chuck would want to risk his precious club just for a short thrill. By telling him beforehand he would make sure that Elias wouldn't blow up and things wouldn't escalate to the point of no return.
The only thing deteriorating away from that theory is how visibly angry and mortified Elias was at the footage. When Felicia tried to explain even a little he screamed "Shut the fuck up! You kept this from me!?" I doubt he's shocked Felicia cheated on him; it's pretty obvious they have a fairly open relationship and ground rules. The clear issue is Felicia was hiding a very big nasty secret from him in a way that if it was ever leaked, would only hurt him. That's the dirt they have on Elias: His wife is a slut at a gentleman's club.

That's why they hurried on initiating him; they didn't need anything else, his wife already sold him out on a silver platter. And it's also to keep him from hurting the club or any other member, because "A crow will not pull out the eye of another crow."

Probably due to rule 7
Yeah, I replied and said what it was and my comment got deleted for inappropriate behavior :HideThePain:
Dunno if it was auto-modded, if not pretty weird.
Thanks! But why does the short for Confidence points get censored in one sentence and not in the other? Besides, what is the meaning of this, since in my native tongue there is nothing "naughty" or so coupled with the shortform?

Just looking for a bit of clarity. I've skipped over almost all the post here to avoid spoilers but here is the basis for my question.
  • I grabbed Chapter 4 Update 5 back in January, release on F95 was Jan 10th, 2025.
  • Checked the page recently and saw that the release date changed to Sept 27th, 2025 and the release version as Chapter 4, Update 6 Early access.
  • Checked the change log and it just says N/A for Chapter 4 Update 6 EA. Maybe no info OR no content.
  • I grabbed the latest release from gofile and the zip contained a folder with the new version on it PaleCarnations-Ch4Up6-pc
  • Loaded up the new version and tried to load my last save file which was at the point where the MC looks up the audition tape of Donovan and Victoria
  • Skipped to the next frame and was met by the same End of Update screen seen in the C4Up5 release in January
  • Figured maybe it was a bug or something so I started a new game, ran all the way through and it still stops at the same point, the Donovan and Victoria tape

So, does C4Up6 have no new content? Maybe I broke something with a mod that's blocking any new content? No shade either way just trying to understand the situation. Peace. :)
Up6 Gets you all the way to the big bad Elias reveal: the Hell Week show's beginning.

I recommend you google what those initials means, I had a reply moderated already and don't want another :HideThePain:

Hi sunaboz !
Sorry, I think you misunderstood how I used deviant here. Neither Vincenzo, Samson nor Erik run around all day thinking about new possibilities to hurt and destroy others like Chuck and especially Kath do. Even sexually they are far from true deviancy, there are "practises" far worse than what we saw from the more mormal members.

August is a tough one, that´s right, but you overlook why I mentioned him. He says that he´ll never understand what Kath and Chuck think and is also concerned that what remains of their sanity is rapidly going down. He more or less gives a damn about the Carnation games, the functioning of the bordello is more important to him. I think white and grey Edwins can hope for support from August taking down Kath and Chuck, if we have good relations with him and Hana.

Sorry, but your theory gets threadbare with the fact that Shelby alludes to blackmail material Chuck and Kath have on all of them and Elias being truly shocked. He is not depicted like Allison, who can act convincingly, instead Elias's shock would be an Oscar-worthy performance, if false.

I recommend you google what those initials means, I had a reply moderated already and don't want another :HideThePain:
Looked in the Merriam-Webster under abreviations and can still not see what is so bad. There is only one I could say can be misunderstandable, but the sentences makes it clear that it is not the case here? Moving on and a round of headshakes.

If anyone wants to challenge the notion that this writer is hilarious I give you this render. The city's best rolling on ecstasy and pounding OE 800! Gotta love the premium club in the highest circles of society is well stocked in 40s of malt liquor!

When I heard him asking for malt and the others give him shit over it, I thought to myself “malt whisky is the good stuff, what’s their dea-oh shit.”

The previous takes in this thread defending Felicia are crazy as hell in retrospect. The idea that it was okay for her to use her open relationship to get involved with powerful figures with criminal ties because Elias didn't fund some dumb art school is insane. The fact that there are numerous sex tapes of Felicia in what is likely an illegal operation (or at the very least incredibly shady one) would torpedo any political ambitions he had.
It's borderline plot hole territory that the club would think of fucking with a guy that powerful and wealthy. I know, I know, it's a fictional porn game plot but the writers go out of their way to insist that the people running the club are good at keeping the whole thing a secret.

Malt liquor in general is cheap and low end. I'll let Serious Eats describe it for me in this article entitled . :)
Well I found I know nothing about liquor, thought malt was whiskey not beer o_O

Only thing I've drank in my youth as bad as malt liquor 40s is Mad Dog (MD) 20/20. If I see some of this in Pale Carnations I'm going to bust a gut. ;) Be funny to find out it's Katherine's Kathleen's favorite drink.

Fresh extract got me past my last end point so thank you! I did put URM on and it seems to be working fine, detecting choices etc BUT if I try to search for a variable it all comes crashing down. No clue why but perhaps someone knows the deal with that one as well. Thanks again Discrepancy for getting me up and running.

the fix is to edit the 00action_data.rpy file the mod is not the problem there is an error in the rpy file.
open it in notepad++ or similar editor. just after line 157 is the error. you need to add the underscore before sys so it reads _sys and save the file.

the problem is in the Renpy that is bundled with the game. The mod just exposes it.

good luck.

I'm not sure what those previous takes are, and your post is kind of confusing. But I can say for sure that Felicia didn’t use her open relationship as a cover. She knew she’d have to go for broke if she became a carnation. It’s also not about the art school — the school is a moment of revelation.

Of what? That despite her high social status, Felicia doesn’t have real, independent power to make things happen. That power was only ever given to her by Elias at his whim. So Felicia decided to put everything at the stake (which is quite a lot) for a chance to climb the ladder and gain real power. Is it dumb? Most people would say yes. Edwin points out how dumb it is, and Felicia kind of agrees... but man, TD’s writing is deceptive.

I thought I had it all figured out about that mental issue Edwin has regarding his mother’s past and how he perceives her — a narrative where Victoria has a role of a martyr who suffered for him. And that video with Victoria and Donovan should have been a distortion of that narrative. Yet Edwin’s internal monologue he had while watching the video surprised me. It wasn’t what I expected. While it doesn’t exactly contradict the 'matyr narrative' theory, it doesn’t quite fit with it either.

Then there’s Elias himself. I used to think the reason he refused Felicia’s request about the art school was to remind her of the dynamic in their relationship. But now that we’ve gotten a taste of his character — a glimpse of who he truly is — it doesn’t fit that interpretation either. It makes me wonder what was the true motive for Elias to refuse Felicia's plea and what kind of personalities the other patrons had before entering the club, and whether the club changed them in any way.

What I’m trying to say is that I’m not going to judge how stupid Felicia’s grand decision was, even if it looks like she’s completely failed right now. And I also don’t understand why you’d think inviting Elias is a plot hole. Elias is powerful and wealthy? Sure but so are they, except he’s just one man while they’re a group. The way the club maintains its secrecy is also explained in the game.
