I'm curious what you guys think about this melee system. Wanted to make melee difficult but not impossible. It works as a 'Counter Attack' combat design. If you simply run into the zombie, you will get hit. If you try to run past the zombie, you will also get hit. You have to bait out the first attack and then go back in and hit it. The melee cooldown is 1 second, so you have to repeat this movement until it's dead. Let me know your ideas! Melee is a pain point. You want to make it difficult so people conserve ammo, but not impossible so you're still able to make progress.

This looks really good! I like the idea so far, though in some ways I'd also say the bait and attack combo is also quite easy. Perhaps, if there is going to be a stamina cost, there could be other options or interactions, like a stun or knockdown for the enemy which could also help deal with hordes.
Maybe if the player has an option to hit again in quick succession, which requires good timing but can knock the zombie down. This opens the zombie to being finished on the floor, but also means that other zombies might trip over it if done well, making melee a viable option to at least slow hordes, if the player is desparate.
Zombie grapples would be a good thing too. Perhaps a quicker attack, where it lunges at the player. It is harder to dodge but if you melee it it will knock the zombie down and make it easy to finish. If it grabs the player they will have a short struggle window before it pins the MC down and fucks her. If she gets grabbed and there's other zombies nearby, they can pull her into a 2 or 3 zombie sex attack.
Just ideas. This is very promising so far!
