I just lost a bunch of progress to a bug. If you try to learn the special move from the goblin at the camp and he kills you but your dog finishes him off, the game will register your character as dead and immediately game over the next time you get into combat. Sleeping or using healing items like bandages do not work so you are forced into a loop. I tried to sleep to regain health which saved over my autosave with a character that cant be healed.
back up the save, go to saveeditoronline.
upload the save and 1 hp to the hp pool
download the document and use it
than you are alive agian with 1 HP.

Worst case you zip the save and send it here, and i will do it

The difference is that it's consistent that everyone has the same accent. Deciding to give a culture that's literally nthing like the americans american accents, but giving no one else in the setting american accents and only doing so because there further west feels weird to me. Giving accents based on geography itself just seems weird to me and I'd rather do it based on culture. If you decide to give one cultural group an american accent to set them apart that's fine it just should be because it's west and I simply dislike it being elves instead of humans or halfings. I'm not saying you shouldn't do something just that I personally dislike it. Elves are literally the last race I'd give an american accent in any fantasy setting. The only way elves would ever have American accents is if everyone had American accents.

Yeah that's not true. The cultural divide was already present before the civil war and was one of the main things that lead to the war in the first place. The north was more urbanized and relied more on textiles and factories. The south was a lot of large plantations where the wealthy tried to emulate European nobility and relied a lot on the cotton trade. They were different culturally before the war.

Them being west was ONE of like 4 or 5 reasons I gave for why I hear them as American in my head. There are other reasons. And at this point I'm not explaining further why I have this as MY HEADCANNON. Was just a tiny part of an example list to support another posters point. If that's weird to you that's fine your not in my head & I'm not in charge of voice casting for this game. I'm moving on now.

I didn't realize because the other stuff you said seemed kind of counter to what you said I mean you directly compared them to the British empire and Greenland and France, even though none of those places have American accents. I could see Cajun I guess if you focus on the fact that it's swamplands but then you said their clan name is wendigo, which is like the Northeastern native american folklore which makes me think of them being more like Algonquians. Then the civil war thing seems like a history misunderstanding.

Like I said I though I was never saying you couldn't do something just that I dislike it and they'd be the last race I'd give american accents and wouldn't really consider it unless the whole setting has those accents.

I mentioned because they have a similiar mix like how modern America is a mix of cultures that moved to the new world. That kind of cultural mix also caused me to imagine them having American accents. It's a fantasy setting so if you can imagine everyone in the European-styled region sounding American & the Elves as British I don't see why it can't be the otherway around. Also kinda makes Elves sound oddly exotic if they sound like a more modern culture compared ro everyone else who sounds like "old world" cultures.

The Wendigo is Native American yes but made me again associate them with Americans, but there Swampy habitat made me think more Louisiana (also I was kinda inspired by the Hewarzi Marshalnds of Diablo which was specifically inspired by it).

The civil war thing was more just about the cultural split. Let's ignore EVERYTHING about IRL civil war, heck I don't even know if the Elves had a civil war. It was more about the idealogical split between the race as "Dark" & "Hugh" Elves were considered the same people before the split. The Datk Elves (according to Tinkerer) were marked by there abuse of dark magic. I was more focused on the magic than anything else.

It was just how I see hear it when I read the lines. My headcannon, & I think we can all agree, that we can have our own headcannon. Unless Tinkerer himself tells us what accent is where we can just imagine what we want.

Yeah but elves are usually older than humans. Probably why the other way around is more common, since Humans tend to be upstarts. Not like any accent really would matter with that point though since old medieval English sounds completely different from any modern day accent and none of them really existed until around 200 years ago. I don't have a problem with American accents being in fantasy, just with elves being the only group to have them. Especially if humans are British, it just feels backwards. Elves are way to haughty

Guys really, the lord of the dragons from Germany once said if the natives from Murica would have been left alone they would be elves now. Case solved, move on.

Well for me Humans are "generically" Afro-Eurasian with the Humans of Weirdwood being a mixture of English/Irish/Germanic accents. While those of Greyport are Germanic/London. Outside of this region I imagine they have accents from all of Africa & Euraisa depending.

Dwarves I imagine having Scottish accents. Halfling Welsh, Orcs/Goblins/Ogres Cockney & as mentioned Elves, American.
