It was the shoes... I had already bought some flats but before being prompted to do so??? So I reloaded old save, went to the mall and bought a 2nd pair and that worked! Thanks!

Okay, this is kinda bugging me. I remember in the past I think you used to be able to put a spy cam in Emma's room, I did put one in the bathroom. However I couldn't find a way/opportunity to put one in Emma's room. However, she's watching me on cam and makes notes that I "watch her" and that she disproves but would be hypocritical, so it makes me think there IS supposed to be a way to put the camera in her room. What am I missing/what events order do I need to do to get the camera in her room?

I haven't played this in ages so don't know if it has changed but the procedure used to be:
- She wakes up late because her alarm clock is out of battery
- Go to the shop and by batteries and a spy cam (you may need to make two trips to get around the bullies mugging you every morning in the early game)
- Go to her room to replace the batteries, use the opportunity to place the camera (or snoop around in her things)

That's in line with what I remember. I'm having a hard time keeping the money to get a camera and the batteries though thanks to the bullies, so previous run I got the batteries (but had no camera to plant) this time trying to get the camera, the bullies are just a pain in the butt....
You should be able buy the camera on the first day. The bullies let you keep $20, the first day has Mow the lawn as chore for $20 as long as you don't run that one on diligent you can go to the mall and buy the camera.
That is the one you install in the bedroom on Tuesday after doing a $5 chore to get the batteries. Then on Saturday you should have enough money from what the bullies left you from doing chores during the week, the chores on Friday and Saturday and working at the clinic to buy the camera for the shower.
One thing that seems to have gone wrong with the latest version of the game though is that you don't need the alarm clock anymore to be able to molest your mother/guardian while she sleeps, so you can buy it after she bars you from her room and never trigger the breakfast/barging into your room events because you always wake before she wakes.

It's not like money is ever actually a problem (well on normal anyway). It's only those specific events are tricky because of the narrow window to do it. Besides that I lost out on planting the camera, I've actually always managed to keep a couple hundred dollars over what I owe (and even after when I needed to start buying "upkeep" and extra items)

What else are you wearing? You might be wearing something that you are not suppose to wear yet to school. Glass/Shoes/Socks/Hair Pieces/Necklaces......

Just adding images wont doing anything. The images are coded into the game. Look at their names, then look at the source code of the game. You might be able to replace some images but I dont really know that much about it. So dont know if that will work either.

Man, they really ruined it. They should have just done what everyone else did with "insert relationship here".
...you can (kind of) easily change it, as everything resides in plain text HTML.
Reading the change-log though - seems all forms of coercion/pressure has been removed and it's now all
about an egg being more than happy to be cracked. A far deeper genre-change than the co-habitant being
a mother/guardian/babysitter.
(...also, babysitter either implies the character is a child, or that the character is so mentally handicapped
it can't take care of itself...)
I would like to go back to those times.

that system is called twine and it's a game engine, there generally aren't many mechanics on top of it. they're basically all just "is <stat> over <threshold>"? or "subtract <cost> from <money>"
no, that's not the issue at all. the issues are a) effort vs payoff and b) whether people even want it. if 1% of people here want it then... they're just not the intended audience. also c) it may conflict with the creative direction of the game. if anyone wants it that bad... then why not just make/commission if yourself?

Definitely, but that'd only fix this problem, I'm under the impression they took out a lot of non-consent stuff which was my main draw to the game tbh

I'm quite familiar with Twine, and on top of that, I'm also quite familiar with the code to PE, having worked with it myself to implement personal features. When I say it's difficult to work with, I mean it. It's not hard to add passages and stuff here and there, but when you want to start implementing new variables and interconnecting with other aspects of the game, things start to turn into a balancing act while blindfolded.
Adding a complete gender-swap isn't a simple one-and-done change. It's a sweeping change that affects all facets of the game, at least if you want it to be more than simple flavor-text in the appearance menu. I'm quite certain that it's something the devs want to do, as evidenced by its presence in the endings, and I'm also quite certain that it's something many players want as well, but it's a hard pill to swallow when you're expecting a group of essentially paid volunteers to re-work the entire game that was made by someone else. Not one of the people currently working on the game had anything to do with the game (with the exception of bobobob if they're still part of the team), and April Ryan has essentially disappeared, so any questions they might have about what does what is up in the air.
I don't mean to sell the team short, since what they've done until now is impressive enough (not every dead game gets picked up and built upon by a completely new team), but to add a gender swap in a way that's meaningful to the gameplay is a herculean task, that doesn't seem worth it to them at the moment. If they do add it, I'm sure they'd want it to be a worthy addition to the game, and not something that seems tacked-on like with TSGE or TMoaS.
