SuperWriter, i can totally understand how it can be to see his hard work being criticized like this (Much like the Freeloading Family thread, everything was going great and then the update of anger)

Obviously, you don't feel a connection with any character model if you don't appreciate the story that goes with it. Your story and the behavior of your characters are appreciated by many

I don't think I saw a negative opinion (or very very minority) concerning the overall graphic improvement concerning the quality of the renderings other than the characters

You say you accept constructive criticism. Only if (for the example) you realize that you don't like Paris hair color anymore. you do not intend to redo all the renderings again? Ok that's easy, you can say in the game that she went to the hairdresser.

Once again I find that Paris is much better this way (but still not my favorite), Miracle is much better this way and Sabrina apart from her first appearance in the game which makes me uncomfortable. , the improvement is noticeable.
As for Sasha I think I found what is disturbing (again, will you agree? Or not?)
View attachment 873306 View attachment 873307

1- too much eyelash
2- the new skin is very special almost too perfect for a human. it's almost the uncanny valley
3- the eyes of the old version are more beautiful (ok very personal taste, but when you had changed her eye color and someone noticed that she looked better with the old eyes you agreed. )

extract from the last scene, this skin rather gives the impression of a plastered wall

1) The eyelashes have mascara, I think it's fine. Personal preference.

2) The skin has pores. Some skin has more pores than the others

3) The eyes before were bigger and I think the eyes now are fine.

Thank you for the constructive criticism even if I don't agree

So it seems its been a week of reboots on a few games this week. Think a lot of dev's are running low on ideas. This game has had several reboots now. I'm a little unhappy with how Sasha has changed even if its only a little. She was possibly perfect as she was. Not so much now. As for Paris, I'm ok with the change, she does look hotter in my opinion. As for the other two the changes were minor. I think this reboot after reboot is going to cost this dev some supporters if this keeps up. All this starting over only shows people what is to be expected from this dev. I want a story that progresses not constantly reboots. Other then Paris I don't think this reboot was needed. Hope this is the last time and I wont probably play this again until there is new content. I might not be a Patreon but I have been a supporter of this project since it has started. I believe supporters opinions matter as well. I will revisit this in the future.
You say this game has had several reboots, so can you please tell me what they are? Because I certainly don't remember doing any other reboots besides this.

What other developer has given you an update every single month before this month for the past year? You only criticize and never see her hard work I put in.

I have been doing this revamp for one month and three weeks and I will be done and giving you guys a new chapter in 4 weeks or so.

I have been busting my ass, but I never get any credit because I see comments like these all the time -_-

Ah, well. I'll just keep working and let my work speak for itself, butthe people who actually follow me on patreon which I update every couple of days know all of this already.

Only get criticism from f95 from people who aren't followinging. Pictur Perfect has 9 updates in 14 months (2 months I've been doing the revamp)

And a lot of games get abandoned, and I see why developers quit when they are trying so hard and get this kind of feedback.

But a developer like me who updates the games every single month where most take 2, 3, 4 months gets the flack about updates. Sorry for the little rant, but I feel like I had to say all that.

So, are you saying that as a potential supporter/subscriber, my opinion does not matter? Not much of an incentive for me to support or subscribe to a game then, is it?
No. But what I am saying is IRL, those who pay the bills will always have more of a voice in the outcome of any endeavor than those who root on the sidelines, but choose not to support.

It must be deflating for you after this update, however not everyone is saying it's trash... Some people are just expressing the fact they grew to love the old models, and are sad that they have been changed. They would not be upset if they weren't invested in your VN. I admit I also will have to get used to the new models (I can get sulky), however none of that is because what you're doing is bad. Also the fact you are willing to talk to us and get opinions is great, not everyone here is a jerk.

IMHO this is why Devs stop engaging on this website. This is just depressing as the F95 community suffers as a whole b/c of it. I don't think any of us want this Dev or any others to disengage from the community. Sure criticism is sometimes warranted and it might be in this case but the Dev here is hardworking, engaging, and generally seems to be a nice person. Some of the comments here will only serve to demoralize him and drive him from the site. Something I don't think anybody wants so let's temper our comments. LOL asking for civility on the internet eek!

P.S. I can be a dick on here too sometimes. We all get caught up in the moment but let's try to remember the Dev's track record and the fact he engages with the community. Let's slow our roll a bit. EDIT after all I'm sure there is a Radiant update to go bitch about :)

Let the facepalms fly!!! :)

i loved baldurs gate and the avengers, but replaying/rewatching them over and over finally got boring
I dont find similar quality in sex games that get me exited to replay them, but it seems like everyone is doing "revamps" now days :(

edit:: imho!! dev should finish a game first and then go back and do "hd version" or "3dfxupdate" or "super revamp" etc...
even if the game only have still pics as sex scenes and dev wanna add animations....then finish the game with the still pics and THEN go back and update the game and add the animations etc...

ofc this is just mHUMBLEo

I don't mind the revamp, I actually enjoyed the changes, specifically with Miracle, she looks a bit more mature in the revamp. Overall I think it looks good, as long as new content is coming down the road and not a continual cycle of changes to current content.

I mean I haven't paid for anything, so I'm more than willing to be patient (I understand development takes time/funds, as I tend to give monetary support to projects that are either completed, close to completion, or has enough content to warrant funding).

You've done a great job with the story and VN, I really enjoy it, so I look forward to future updates :)

Gripe gripe gripe. Seriously, why does everyone hate on the revamp when they can KEEP THE OLD VERSION AND NOT DOWNOLOAD THE REVAMP. Yall do realize that dogpiling and bitching about every detail can drive a creator to abandon their game right? Emotional overload is a thing. If that happens, we will have an abandoned game instead of one you aren't 100% satisfied with. I see the whole 'we are the fans' view, but this is a VN. Meaning its a story from SuperWriter's mind. Let him tell it and show it how HE wants. Calm down everyone and chill. Seriously. Instead of blasting him with pages of negativity, why not ask him nicely to finish the old version with the original models after he finishes the story with the revamped ones? Sugar is better than shit and all that...

I can speak to this personally as a game developer. Yes, the acerbic and often mean spirited comments are not motivating and can be a little deflating, especially when a developer pours weeks and months (and sometimes even years) into a game project that will in all likelihood have a very, very small chance of commercial success. It's a large part of why I haven't felt motivated to progress on one of my projects. People should try to be a little bit nicer, especially those who are happily enjoying the sweat of someone else's brow for free. Such entitlement is sad.

I do understand, which is why I'm trying to explain my decision to everyone. At least it's starting to calm down a little lol. Thanks

Lmao Thanks for your comment, but seriously, you're right. The developer who I actually started with this game on says he stopped coming to this site because of the emotional toll it took on him and I have heard that from so many other developers who call f95 "cesspool."

a lot of us do this in our spare times while having families and jobs and other stressful things, so having a bunch of people pile on your hard work is definitely not encouraging. Thanks for saying all that

Thanks for the comments, though continuing the game with the old version who are somebody else's models is the whole reason that I wanted a revamp with my models. So the reason is what I want people to play going forward, MY GAME AND VISION.

You know?

I really people hope understand what you're saying. Developing takes A LOT of work, so it certainly does not feel good when people just shit on you.

so I really do hope people give constructive criticism instead of just complaining or attacking.

If it's what YOU want in the game, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You: Hey guys I really want to make a few changes to my game. Them: You broke my PP!. Jokes aside, make it the way you want it. This is your creation, not anyone else's. I'm sure many are just impatient for new content... However you are getting this revamp done very quickly, so they won't have to wait long.

Well, as expected after a revamp opinions are split right down the middle. Except for one exception I see it as an overall improvement and a worthwhile exercise, kudos to SW for the work.

To me I see this revamp like watching old porn then suddenly switching to watch HD porn, where every little imperfection is amplified which can turn a lot of people off. But still, it's a massive upgrade.

I was strongly considering replacing all of the models just like Paris, but I thought that would be unfair to you guys, so I considered your feelings.

I kept the same bodies. I kept the same hair. I kept the same faces (minus Paris)

All I changed was the skin textures and eyes. And the story is exactly the same
And their clothes. Why should we take you seriously if you're going to say things which are blatantly untrue?

SuperWriter , please stay with us here! As I wrote before, I am a hobby writer myself and have several stories of mine posted on various fora. From personal experience, the feedback you get will always be interesting, in the good and bad sense of the word. Sometimes you get headscratchers, where you have to think the commenter is in the wrong thread, because their rants have zero connnections with the story at hand, sometimes you get critic from persons who think you violated their own vision how to do the story. That is something we have to life with, that will never change on any board.
Likewise praise and positive critic can come from the strangest places on a forum, you will never know before. Take the best from the feedback and critic and do not let get toxic stuff close to your heart. It takes time to find an equilibrum on this.

But most of all keep to your own vision of how you make the game, no matter what we say unless you feel some critic has a point. It is your vision and revamp. I understand all to clearly that revamps are problematic, since I rewrite one of my stories, too. It cannot be feeling nice to many readers, especially since for several important reasons I could not update for months, due to nearly no free writing time. But since History plays a big role in it and I learned new things about the topics over the years, a rewrite is/was necessary. I am a history buff, nearly became a historian, but some knowledge simply was not available when I started that specific story. So I put it in, even if it goes very slowly for now.

As for your revamp, let me state again that I really like the graphical changes! You get better! While it is clearly personal taste, Paris is a BIG upgrade! I always liked Paris character, the motherly, unfinished potential, Electra-complexed young woman. But I hated her old look. Her lips screamed "fake" and I was always reminded of the funny old song from the "knallrote Gummiboot" and not in good way in this case. I like new Paris much more even if she looks not really the eldest one. One thing to remark, I liked the old pink sleepshirt more than her new top and shorts. ;)

Sasha, as I wrote before, is another better version. Less tattoos are better for her, but she needs some for her looks to be in tune with her character. I like her tough girl, "Ladette" character too.

Miracle´s older look I find better fitting in with her sisters. (And we hopefully see her eye teeth in revamped ch.8 ;)) But as said before, I never really clicked with this character, despite liking her.

Sabrina´s new look is vastly better, still I do not really care if this character is in the game or not.

Reading all the angry comments. As I'm new to the game I'm not invested in any previous graphics, I think it looks great. Keep up the good work dev.
Seriously appreciate all the feedback and kind of words, guys! I will have stuff for you guys to play very very soon

And their clothes. Why should we take you seriously if you're going to say things which are blatantly untrue?
Goodness gracious, man. We're talking about the models, not the clothes.

Listen, I honestly I'm sorry you don't like the revamp, but it is my vision and I'm going to continue working hard on the game to bring updates. That is all I can do as a developer. And all you can do as a player is to decide to play or not.

Your comments really mean a lot, Turret. it really is easy to get caught up in all the negative when there has been chest as much positive people defending the revamp. Don't worry, I'm going to continue to work my ass off and bring a new content next month!
