Based on his discord, his core supporters are kinda toxic. Guessing a bunch of those are the upper tiers of supporters (although they may just be pricks). Kinda assuming one of the $5 ones will leak it when it's released to them, possibly even out of spite. Great example of when having a discord hurts more than helps.

The most similar active one I know of is Unaware Of the World (now called Unaware in the City). It is also a side-scrolling, Unity driven game with a female main char who you can steer down all kinds of corrupting routes. Also like this game, it has been in a long development lull for the last few months and should finally have a new release soon. Though in that game's case it is because the graphics are being given a total overhaul.

Correction: a very much needed, almost mandatory, graphics overhaul. The game currently looks no better than having your kid's Barbie and Ken dolls mimicking XXX stuff.

Not much in the latest version to play anyway. Wait for actual content to come out. Played through it (0.8e) and just hoping there's some content out in the near future (hopefully in 9.0) that this supposedly new game structure would help speed up in delivery.

People who want a pirate game complaining about other people paying for the game. People who pay for the game complaining about pirates on a forum that pirates games. It's nice seeing people are getting offended on the others behalf

Let me pare down SpoicySauces change list since the complaints are essentially about the lack of attention to content, not the lack of "work" being done.

These are the content updates to 0.8.

- Two new sub-locations in the Restaurant (Back Room and Office).
- Start of new Boss event chain after doing seriously BAD at work.
- Mall location, with two initial stores to buy clothes and shoes.
- Introductory scene to the mall with Kayla.
- Start of new Kayla event chain in the evening.
- Kayla progression event (drawing).

Free roam is not content. A tutorial day is not content. Hiding a dialogue panel is not content. Internal changes to the engine are not content. Being able to log for debugging is not content. A frame limiter is not content.

Everything else listed is either fixed or changed, not new content.

It's been over 9 months since the last release and nearly a year since the last update that contained anything remotely close to sexual content.
