How do projects like this one survive?

And what makes you so certain? Much time ago I asked HinoArashi if "proper" breeding is going to get added, and the answer was yes.

What Hino probably meant (at that time, at least) is that the REGULAR pokemon breeding system will/might be present.
And by REGULAR I mean the one which you leave TWO 'mons on that place so they can do their... stuff.

Then again, if you checked that dev blog (link to it is present a few posts above), another thing that MAY or MAY NOT be related to what you ask is being cooked for the next version...

Only time will tell...
