VN Ren'Py Abandoned Polarity [v0.4.3] [Eternity Games]

So back to the topic of Polarity. This game only needs an abandoned tag if you feel Sir D is lying. He has communicated on Discord (I am not a patron or sub so I do not speak to those) and within the 6 months you lay out. So this would be another situation where the update takes longer (he states it is due to the massive size and pivotal plot points) than normal but since we did not get ghosted why should we suddenly disbelieve?

Actually, I believe the one individual said if there is no communication ON THIS SITE the game should get an abandoned tag. Communicating on Patreon, SubscribeStar, or Discord should not count.

I mean, hell, if they want supporters/patrons to subscribe or support the game, they should take the time to;

1) Get on this thread and post a damned update for the game, be it "screenshots, pictures, or general information, and
2) STOP with the damned "promise of a HUGH UPDATE that never seems to appear, and instead get the actual damned update out and posted.

I feel it because too many people have no clue what it takes to make these games, my opinion. But it is valid to worry if taking on a second game would hinder the first. But his role as script/plot developer in Radiant would not interfere with rendering which is what takes the longest time in updating these games. So let's see if ver 5 is as big as he says once it is here.

Sorry, but I think most people have a pretty good idea of what it takes to create/make these games. Sure, script/plot developer is reasonably easy, while rendering in HS can be time/resource intensive, and DAZ3D is even worse. If he has time to update progress reports on Patreon or SubscribeStar, then he SHOULD have a little time to copy and paste to this thread. But putting updated information of progress behind ANY sort of paywall is not only gouging your supporters, but attempting to gouge potential supporters by forcing them to pay just for fucking information.

And sorry, there are a number of people who are getting tired of vaporware in the form of promises of a new HUGH update that, so far, has yet to materialize. So, in the words of masterdragonson here, he should "shit or get off the pot" and both provide progress reports here as well as his supporter sites (Patreon and SubscribeStar), AND finally provide SOME sort of update so we KNOW this game is not being abandoned.

well guys ..to be honest i know the dev is late and lazy and every thing but i realy dont think the dev he will abandoned this game ...most of devs the abandond the game that is not soo popular or dosnt have much fans ...but after all this headect we make for the dev about this game and he know very well now that people is crazy about this game even more than radiant ..do u think he is that stupid to throw this gem game from his hand ???? think about it ...if he did that he is the one will lose the first

Teachers pets and bug brother may have been before the large increase of patreon subscribers, but at the time they were two of the most popular porn games you could find on the internet!

im just trying to let them think about it for awhile..becouse they insest that he will abandond the game....i was thinking the same befor...but when i saw that the dev still avilable and he not desappeared like the others..there is a hop ..wer can still comunicat about it and change his mind ..it mean he know now very well that this game have supper huge fans and its not ignored game ..sooo why would he ever abandoned it..didnt he looking for fans who like his game ? and he promised for update soon ..if he want to abandoned he will say it why would he hide it

They communicate progress to those inside the paywall. So they do not leave. Who gives a rat's ass about this site once you got subs and patrons? Tag it however and the people paying (the most important ones) know the truth. Honestly it would be easier on people who care but come here because the riff-raff would go whine on another thread.

But sadly there would still be like 40 people who had to scream "milker" once a day. So the end result, as always, these threads are a wasteland of nothing helpful.

So no, chances of those games becoming popular after being abandoned is as likely as the dev of this game releasing monthly updates.

found here once had a forum attached to it. This forum was filled with random advertising bots. Yet, this forum no longer exists. Which means some one had to remove it. Meaning he is not dead. Sadly, I do not have a screenshot of proof, because well I didn't think I would find someone like you two years later, but here we are. In addition, I found a neat little link which proves the forum existed

. Sadly, in order to prove that the forum was closed after the devs disapearance would likely take me way more work than I am willing to put in. I have already put way too much work into something you could have already done to "prove me wrong". So at this point, I kind of just want to be an asshole and ruin your day.

So yes, I can assume he did not die because someone had to unlink the forums from his website. Secondly, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, no alcohol, no "talking with my mind", no "using my experience" needed. The majority of us will sit around and hope for the best while expecting the worse case scenario we have all seen a dozen times over the years.

what a great work man ..i did downlod and open the folder ..but i notist theres no photos.. its like all datas folder is not like (jpg) so i avoid it i thught maybe i need some program to open them up or to make them convert to photos u know ...( i know) im dump in this...i need to be more expect than that ...but realy thank u i got ur 3 photos and i make the sig already...u want to see it or use it ? it will be my pleasure i canot use it now sadly becouse its limmit only 2 sigs soo its kinda useless for now ...just say the word and ill send it for u

I like these points as they make me laugh.

Stagnation is great! Don't advertise the game as that would bring new blood into the project. It's almost like writing an incest novel. Keep it all in the family and never leave Discord.

Should the developer have any form of accountability? Hell no, they can go years without communicating anything and I'll still believe. Daddy went out for cigarettes when I was little but they never said they wouldn't be back so never abandoned.

It's not the developer, it's those dirty pirates. Yep definitely not the developer's fault when a situation looks bad. It's all the fans that complain when things don't get updated for months on end. Oh if only they would throw more money into the barrel then something might happen.

Sometimes I wonder if people that complain about this site actually have any self awareness about where they are. I mean fans can say they enjoy a game but just going into a circle jerk and whining about the circle jerk isn't going to make the situation smell any better. Some poor sod will eventually have to clean this up.

Fair enough, as far as it goes. One thing about "Abandoned" tags, however: as was stated in a previous post, once a game gets an Abandoned tag, it is hard(if not near impossible) to recover. I have had games that started out good, they received an Abandoned tag, and either never fully recovered or lost a LOT of supporters. In truth, any game I see an abandoned tag on, I don't even bother to try. Why should I? The likely hood of them being "Un-abandoned" is so low that I just don't take a chance.

Conversely, when a developer's game (that I am either actively supporting, or actively playing and CONSIDERING as to whether to support it) is abandoned, I totally abandon even playing the game, delete it from me computer, and make SURE to never play or support that developer's games again. Quite a LOT of people have done that with a number of developers and games (one developer that immediately comes to mind is Slonique).

Next, you mention that Polarity is "not that popular"> I beg to differ with you. They have a (fairly) decent number of patreon supporters, and the people here who are not supporters and yet are complaining about the abysmal lack of updates or progress reports HERE speaks of MANY people who find this game extremely popular and worth playing. Sure. some complain just because they "like to complain". But others complain because they found a good game that APPEARS to be "on the road to being abandoned". Don't get me wrong, they like his other games too (Radiant, Neko Paradise) but they like this game even more.
