best way to maximize characters and results is to breed high level then max level [...]
Is there a guide somewhere with desirable traits and stuff like that?
Yes and no to both questions.

There's a in dire need of helping hands.
There's Daron's unlockables which you can temporarily use to browse all species, or start a new game to check which traits you simply must have in your own game, for reference.

But the best guide is your own experience - there are many ways to achieve the same goal. With low genes you'll need higher levels to breed efficiently; as your guys get higher virility/fertility it becomes easier.
In any case, you're always better off with specialists: you're not supposed to send your archmage to the brothel, or send your best dairy cow tank solo on the frontlines. Plan various bloodlines for each task you want to focus on.

And yes, futas obviously cheat nature. 4 pairs of hands are always better than 2 in terms of efficiency. Breed futas insect/lavagirl with insect/plant for an even more ridiculous nature hack.

it is not hard to breed all the traits you want with max stats. But here Toxic Power doesnt stack with Berserker so i would want to remove TP.
As Siena use slime girls to copy existing creatures with Evo its even easier to manipulate traits and skills.
Tho aside from Super Hybrid being the best overall stat creature it lacks in one or another particular role. There's better fighters and better mages.

Currently i have telekinetic and empowered. Empowered and Godly earned by the story events... guess telekinetic was also from some secondary event. Thats about traits.
And skills you learn from using points in a Create - Switch menu like Evo

Hmm, i learned some in switch, but they are only availible for created characters. Mc cant select them for some reason. I decided to go for magic character this time around and without any magic my mc is seriously useless.

Dont even try to make something viable out of the Creation MC. The best she can do is to provide lame support and summon 2 tentacles at one cast. Also just found out you can use mutagen on her...
Othervise you would need to start her with high Genetics since there's no way to alter them. But you can also drink perma energy and armor potions to make a decent seductive character. I dont think that starting with max possible Genetics is worth it. Even if only 1 stat

Idk, my first creation playthrough was str+hp and it was... decent. Not the strongest for sure, but i was able to do something at least. Being a mag+mana genetics im unable to do basically anything now since the only skill i have access to is that fire starter ignite or whatever its called.

A half true; while the creation mc does get nerfed all the time, she can be made an average, useful character. first thing is change her growth type while lvl 1, she starts as support, and by using the tanid skill tree you can change her growth type (tank, mage, support); i recommend mage, due to her starting stats. also you will need her to begin with a max level of 25 to make the most of your growths. genetics are percentage increases of stat gains, so starting her with high genetics only works if you already have chosen a growth type (for example high strenght genetics is allways bad for crea due to her growth type), also as you stated she can use mutagen, getting the potential trait at lvl 1 can make her a powerhouse, but that is highly unlikely (telekinetic on a mage type? yes!). last but not least (i dont know if it still works) if crea does the ritual with the NPC sylvie, crea gets to create the special girls "humans" which look like crea. (x5 girls, 15 genetics, max lvl 20, mage type, meteor skill spam? absolutely broken).

Well, of course?
She's a queen-type. She specializes in sitting in her throne, and spawing legions of OP abominations to slime the world(s) on her behalf.

I love (and abuse) the 'summoner' trait myself, but even without it Crea can be a great battle summoner. Focus on her Magic strength, give her Fire element, savescum get lucky with Mutagens, and she's a beast anywhere not in the frontline.
She can summon near-invincible tentacles, double-cast slime bolts... But yes, that's about it, seduction aside.

As for a frontline fighter Creation... Yes, I don't see that working out. But Queens command, don't fight (unless Zerg oc).

So im playing evolution character and i regularly fight the creation character Siena, i see the menu to talk regularly and i have cleansing staff but i keep failing to convince her by talking. Do i have to reduce her power to 0 to speak or am i doing something wrong?

Afaik you can only successfully do the staff thing in the final battle (your little blue chicken will even tell you that now's the time), until then just keep talking so she doesn't get too desperate for power.

You also need to lower her Corruption stat by destroying her hives. If I recall correctly it must be lower than 50 in order to sucessfully save her.

Did you use the staff? You need to use the active effect on her. Not only that, but you need to ACTIVELY destroy hives before the final battle. 3 will spawn shortly after obtaining the staff then 1 per day in a random portal. As long as the portal is still active it will have a hive and won't change unless it's destroyed. Don't wait too long once the ending portal is active since she gains more power than she loses. She should be weaker than the prince endgame.

Honestly, I was really excited to download and try this game out, but for some reason it crashes every time I try to run it. I'm not sure if I'm missing files (pretty sure someone would have said something by now if that were the case), or if I somehow am trying to open the wrong thing. Anyone have ideas?

There's not much to tell from the screenshot, except that you have many other applications running... Try closing these beforehand.
You're supposed to run "PoP_V0.13.0.1_win.exe" and it's supposed to open a new PortalOfPhereon configuration window with Graphics and Input. Did you at least get that?

Try running any other random Unity game. If they run, try redownloading PoP.
My PoP_V0.13.0.1_win_Data folder is 1,383,776,899 bytes big with /savedata taken out,, if that's any clue.
