Well, from the name alone its always been an NTR game. It's just the dev was nice enough to add a switch to turn it off to appeal to a wider base.

I actually dropped the patreon support for this when the guy started getting into side shorts and moved away from the actual game... I dont mind NTR and in a plot like this it adds a fun bit of thrill to try and avoid being cucked but its the side stuff thats seeing his patreons decline NOT the NTR.
Probably the NTR is supported mostly by his patreons who enjoy NTR especially? i don't know just saying, i always felt that this game had a lot of blue balls moments even after so many updates, the blue balls moments started to get less blue balled in recent updates when some action begin to happen, maybe the dev was more of a fan of NTR himself but wanted to make a game for both NTR and non-NTR fans?
The community of this game is full of NTR lovers and NTR haters and that sparks a lot of argues which isn't the best idea to try to appease both counter parts because there will be always one part that will not be satisfied.

Nope folks here dont give a shit, if is not a tag/fetish they dont like, it should not exist.... a really hypocritical thing to complaint about when they dont spend a penny to support the creator
The biggest laugh about their moaning to me is where the fuck have been all this time. If the sentiment is the dev creating extra non-canon NTR scenes is a monumental waste of time, delays updates coming out and is the worst thing to happen to the game... then have they PLAYED the game before? There was ALWAYS NTR non-canon scenes being created so thus "wasting time and delaying updates". This isnt a recent occurrence but their entitlement to shake a fist as backers whilst downloading the content for free with the other makes me laugh at least.

My only gripe as ive said before is its not content for the main game - these scenes should be added to the main story vs side dishes like several other games devs i like and support as Runey or TK (Harem Hotel and Solvalley HS) which goes back and expands or replaces old content with better newer ones if thats people want. Thats better than seperate downloads for content which isnt all that different from what we get save for the needless extra hurdles to access it compared to the rest of the scenes. That in itself is fixable anyway so its not a huge gripe either.

Pirates salty at not getting serviced over the bigger paying patreon backers... pffft, these devs clearly not thinking logically? *insert further sarcastic responses here*

Ill try this one out maybe later when i get the chance (Lucia is hands down my fave character and i understand she is at the centre of this one based on spoiler comments) but does it add on to the first one or is each and every What If gonna be a seperate download etc? If thats the case i honesty would have been much happier they were in the main game albeit locked to a Patreon version of it (several other developers do similar).

As people are also discussing their hottest scene in the game then mine by a country mile was Lucia losing mindlessly to her lust and exhibitionism at the cabin with Sterling infront of the two old pervs. Im not overtly invested in the What Ifs in all honesty but for me it would be the prime candidate for expansion be that in vanilla terms with Sterling and her finally going all the way for once in front of a captivated audience or indeed a gang bang bukkake fest with everyone present for NTR fanboys. Im dreading the sick fucks who want naked Kevin scenes with the aunt though...
If the game had been "n.."tag from the beginning it wouldn't have the same success. The word "the n... is non-canonical content) was marketing. Inside the game is a harem almost. The success of their game was the main story not the non canon garbage.

Just because you dropped support doesn't mean he is declining in patrons... He has only been gaining patrons, looking right now he gained 35 since the what if dropped 2 days ago.
Its not a matter of decline, but yes when a creator starts to display any progress people come back to the lower tiers. Those that go higher (and remember if you have 25 $1 you dont make as much as from 1 $25, thats just how they getchya) are a little more reserved.

My point was I dropped out because of the lack of progress on the main project and NOT the NTR as did several others. If you actually read the comment/convo I was replying to you may have noted the distinction.

I almost agree with you there, almost.

And admittedly when I step back and look at my first comment on it today I think it was a little too entitled asshole sounding.

What I disagree with you about, is the dev is doing nothing to win over new patreons, unless he just want the ntr-fanboi's (and if so that's totally fine, a bit weird with the idea of it being optional and such, but fine) by pushing out more and more ntr content. I know I won't support any game where I'm going to be pissing into the wind going against the majority.

I totally respect Ravenleaf 's reply and points about letting the creativity go with what ifs, but again it's not something that make me want to support him. Again while I see Ravenleaf's point about some those things, to me it just stinks of milking and is a flashing red light to never support the guy and I think that about any dev that does side stories or "holiday" specials. I think they are other ways to avoid burn out, and if you want to do them, do them and keep them aside till the projects done. The fact he's now doing them monthly it seems and putting to a vote and making it an official thing, kind of defeats those purposes for wanting to do them in the first place and now just adds additional pressure.
If you want to see non-ntr What If?'s, then pledge to the upper tier, make a suggestion, vote and hope for the best. If not, then honestly just wait for the main-game, it is as I've understood not being delayed in the sligthest by the "milking" as you call it.

I honestly have no idea why you even call it that as it's the complete opposite imo since content is actually being released for paying patrons, and then eventually to entitled peeps like yourself and many others that cry ntr.
Seriously, if you don't like something then don't play it, literally nothing will happen if you do or don't play the What if?'s

Yeah the main story - its consistently comical narrative is the success story. I agree because there wasnt much sex going on back in the day as i recall for anyone be that Sterling OR Hunter so dont pretend it was because it was a harem game. The game was a slow burn in that regards (with only Eva offering any action).

The NTR undertone was a massive contributor to the success none the less though as was its other big taboo - Incest. Those underpinned the hormonal long term investment whilst the storyline made it stand out from the 100s of other harem games out there with surprisingly enough no shortage of family fun too so even that is not exactly its USP either, as said it was the fact it was so fucking brilliantly funny in its writing that it won people over and grew to the success it is now (look how many games are created and fail on this site - few get to rise to the top and be successful standing out from others).

A game with good writing and no sex scenes is 100x better than most of the porn games with literally no writing and just fap material, so i agree that the biggest plus of this game is the writing and funny humor which makes it uncommon and more likeable.

And that's fair, I just wanted to play devil's advocate and provide a different point of view. Only the dev knows how things really are, both points are valid, I just didn't want everything to get very negative without considering all sides

You can like NTR, hate NTR, or not care, but those who say it 'kills' games are either fooling themselves or trying to fool others.
