Only Patreon had a deal with paypal, besides being more popular, in the end, i guess developers feel safer with patreon and money.
There are quite a few games that are successful on subscribestar and as far as I know the devs from those games don't seem to have had any issues so far. I think devs should seriously start considering alternatives to patreon because they keep getting more and more restrictive when it comes to adult content. Being dependent on this one platform seems like a really bad idea in the long run.

Which is STUPID considering the large amount of controversies surrounding Paypal and how INSECURE PayPal actually is honestly I wouldn't trust PayPal with a ha'penny.

I thought they did? I swore that's where Belle Delphine eventually released her porn videos.

PayPal constantly lost my money and refused to let me remove my pay cards so i called my bank and cancelled them then they kept spamming my email saying i needed to update my payment info, PayPal sucks

I agree with being dependent on patreon its a bad idea but alot of people use paypal to pay those things, the answer its pretty clear, devs should leave patreon but theres no other plataform with the same "agrement", you can ask for your money whatever you want in patreon, in subscribestar you need to wait 15 days to ask again, i not trying to defend that garbage but i understand all those dev who refuse to change.

Why won’t devs just use Subscribestar? Does it have some big downsides? Or does it just block devs in the same way Patreon does?
Most games are still vanilla anyway and don't really suffer patreons censorship issue. It's mostly incest games that were really effected and most of them bypassed the censorship by having a patch. Subscribestar is still to small to really make the same amount of money you'd have for patreon and the only time I ever see anyone use it it's because it's an incest game. Not to mention a lot of people only like to pay through paypal for some reason.
Do we know when is the next update ?
Look through the most recent pages, the question has been asked and answered pretty much everyday now.

Well none of my payment options work on subscribestar for one, and I'm not the only one that has that problem. That's one downside at least.

Read the last few pages. We know both when the update is coming out and the update would have come out in May but was delayed because of patreon drama. I dont even understand the point commenting without looking from the past few posts and wwg has been pretty clear with updates and stauts reports

One answer might be to use BOTH platforms simultaneously, at least as a temporary solution. For example if WWG creates a Subscribestar this month, current Patreon subs can end their Patreon sub at the end of June and then just hop on Subscribestar, if they are able to, for July onward.

This would at least be a temporary solution for WWG to release Chapter 10 at all while still receiving backing. Would this be fair to Patreons who (for whatever reason) can't use any payment method successfully on Subscribestar? No. But at this point no practical solution has been proposed where WWG can keep his income, as well as release Chapter 10.

Also at this time almost everything being proposed on here is speculation. WWG might just be able to release Chapter 10 through Patreon, as planned, on June 11th or 12th. Unless WWG says anything before then or at that time, that's still the plan.

Only problem with that is that Patreon are a bunch of cocksuckers and actually care what content creators put out OUTSIDE of patreon, so they'll most likely still shut down their patreon page anyway.
