Why are playing a game with a male protagonist? Why not just stick to female protagonist games? as a matter of fact why are you playing visual novels at all? Since apparently the story doesn't mean anything to you. It's people like you as to why there are so many braindead stories for these. The devs know they don't have to put the effort in.
Power Vacuum has the effort put into it with the story and the characters but you just want the female characters to be empty headed cumdumps story be damned.

I think you're presenting a false dichotomy here; there's plenty of room between "I am the MC" and "I don't care about the MC". Implying someone is a sociopath just because they don't get emotionally attached to fictional characters is a bit much. Let's be real, PV's story is a porn comedy. Both porn and comedy tend to feature situations that are highly implausible, and we turn part of our brains off (i.e. "suspension of disbelief") in order to enjoy them.
As for your escalation theory, I honestly think you may be right about some people needing more extreme content. The other day I posted some reasons why people like NTR, but it was hardly meant to be a complete list.

As for needing the uncensor patch, that's up to you.

I think it's about the corruption aspect, similar as to why someone would want to see a girl fucking a monster or something like that.
It's less about finding Hunter appealing and moreso the juxtaposition of a beautiful girl going at it with someone or something that's the opposite of that.
