Not really, just bad timing. Sure, we get the occasional "oh, he's milking because he hasn't updated in so long", but we had three posts above yours someone practically say WWG doesn't deliver. So, while you might have not intended it this way, it did feel like an attack on the dev.

I'm like 40 hours into a bout of insomnia and starting to crack . I remember writing it, kind of, but I have no idea what my motivation was.

All these double content enthusiasts are forgetting that there were what ifs till last update and last and second last update took 8 and 6 months respectively if I am not forgetting so if he gets this update out in December it will be one month later then previously so let's see how much content we get for this much time.
Regardless even if he puts reasonable amount of content, I and I am sure many still prefer shorter updates with shorter update spans.
So it's understandable that some might see it as milking.

I won't speak for others, just personally, I'd still wait until a full chapter was released to play. If it was chapters released in parts, I'd feel lost picking up in the middle of a chapter and have to play it from the chapter start anyway.

I totally agree. Even though we're talking about porn games, I find myself way less invested in a story when it's delivered in a lot of small updates. A lot of people agree, to the point where they'd rather wait for a game to finish development before they even play it, which makes frequent updates irrelevant.

Power Vacuum on the other hand has a satisfying amount of plot development each chapter, every (important) character gets featured, and their story threads are often interwoven. Chopping all that up to deliver more frequent updates would undermine one of PV's main selling points, which is the writing.

If he were planning on keeping the game going for even longer I'd understand the concern, but WWG has already said that we're pretty much near the end, and shorter updates wouldn't really make a difference in the end product we get imo, it would just be more disjointed. For example: Have an update for Ophelia's route, an update for Brenna's, an NTR update... etc.

It'll only be milking when he stops delivering/starts lying. So far he's been very open in regards to his development cycle and gives updates on his patreon fairly often.
