Your math is pretty much in line with my own estimates (quoted below).Well I guess that confirms New Annabelle is NOT OG Annabelle, seeing as there's no way she could look the same 40 years later. That also puts OG Annabelle's birthdate in the early 1960s, meaning she would've been around 40 when she died, and around 60 if she were still alive.
Also, it could just be the lighting/old photo, but her hair color looks different.
EDIT: I guess it doesn't totally CONFIRM it, unless we get into some weird sci-fi fuckery like holding people in stasis + memory wipes, or perhaps time travel or cloning. I kind of hope it doesn't go in that direction though.
I think the photo is meant to appear aged or overexposed... I never owned a Polaroid camera myself but I've seen pictures like that.
I'm still convinced it's a cloning situation, new Annabelle just looks too similar to the original. You could chalk it up to the game's art style/aesthetic, but Ophelia's reaction makes me think the resemblance is too uncanny.
We now know that Hunter hired Annabelle in 1979 and married her soon after, so it's reasonable to assume she was at least 18. That means she was born around 1961 at the latest. Annabelle apparently died in 2002, so she would've been at least 41. I think new Annabelle looks much younger than 41, so if it's somehow the same person, then her physical age has regressed somehow.
