We've seen enough plot twists to know that anything could happen, but I will be astonished if Sterling is misinterpreting the emails, because there's a preponderance of evidence:
"Waiting for you lover" - The use of the term "lover" implies physical intimacy.
TexAveryWolf@hushmail(dot)com - First there's reference to the classic cartoon character known for lustful reactions, then there's an email service that sounds intended for discreet communication.
