I played Meghan path for the first two chapters and, well, she didn't grow on me. Even so, it shouldn't be a requirement to play her path to fully enjoy Mei's. That's just poor design.

I disagree with you slightly....The game would be fine just playing the one path. I serious considered just playing the Meghan path. It was satisfying enough for me. Not knowing what would happen if you cheat becomes irrelevant. Almost like playing the Triss path vs the Yennefer path in Witcher. (Team Yen all the way!!)

Playing the other path is not required, but gives you more insight into the other characters, but is not required.

Your attraction towards Meghan after 2 updates is obviously not there. A prologue would not have changed that.
What you get after 2-3 updates is her personality and is what the MC married.

You not being attracted to her is fine. It means that she is not your type.

It may come down to preferences, but most of the Japanese VN's I've played and liked follow the protagonist's point of view.

It's the opposite actually. It's an effort to save the immersion.

I don't mind if the story occasionaly jumps away from the MC, as long as there is a good narrative purpose for it, but this is just too much.

Both the launch and the landing in Heavy Five fit the bill as they are dramatically significant.

In Primal Instinct's case, however, that takes a huge portion of a playthrough. The significance of those events (particularly of what MC's sister is doing on the other side of the planet) continues to elude me.

I think Alex might possibly be a even stronger or important being than the MC. Mom, Alex, and MC all had the dreams, but Alex is the only one who heard the voice while awake.

So the lowest hanging fruit is that Misha and Samara are vampires. There is too much support for it and the only thing that detracts from it is that its being too obviously set up. Still I would probably bet on it. Hypnotic eyes, Blood Countess, longevity, etc.

If we go with the vampire theme, the MC's family is probably some kind of vampire hunter clan? Not sure why they would have some sort of dream world connection to the vampires though.

edit: Or perhaps MC's family are descendants of that blacksmith. If you let the blacksmith strip for Samara, they say he betrayed them later on, which could be why misha is so pissed. If you resist, they just torture and kill him. Either way, maybe his wife was pregnant at the time and her child went on to become a vampire hunter for revenge.

Good writing which makes for believable and organic characters. I really care and want to know more about them. The light is fantastic: we can distinguish the different time of the day. Surely a great classy hit in the making!

I do like what i'm hearing about well written characters however i'm also heavily into romance and all that soppy shit so all this talk of cheating and stuff has me sitting on the fence.

Looking to see what kind of game it's going to turn into.

Huh, has been a while since the story of a porn game had me intrigued... the setting is kinda familiar with the occult stuff from ancestors and all but the renders and dialogues are pretty amazing so great job so far. The 2 paths have a very different vibe from each other (not to mention the small decisions also having visible effects), which is another plus in my book.

It's kind of funny reading through the comments here. The stark contrast between those that are enthralled with the story and characters to those that are purely driven by lust. It's probably an age thing. For me, the highly engaging story and characters have forced the sexual content to take a backseat, and at this point it's just a huge bonus that's been added. However, this super seductive dame Samara is really upping the lust factor for me.

Also, I am noticing that this game is ruining other games for me. Games that I used to find at least moderately entertaining, I am now finding them to be quite shallow, and rather boring and yawn inducing. I do hope this passes soon, as I want something to fill the update gaps of the very few games that are true gems.

I am thirty five not sure of your age. I couldn't really get into the story honestly. None of the main character's even the wife in this honeymoon place interest me. I am just sitting here twiddling my thumbs just waiting for the honeymoon to end, not caring at all about the mystery of what is going on, so i can dump the wife and move on to the character's that started the story, the family. Their story is what i am interested in.
