The issue is that the dev has no real way to debug it, we can replicate the error on Nvidia only by forcing DX12 (the game is built in DX11) and it was narrowed down to this RVT component being incompatible with DX12 (note that RVT is an official Unreal 4 component, but with Epic being Epic we doubt a fix will ever release now that U5 is out); what we think is happening is that RDNA2/3 GPUs are forcing DX12 in engines that are capable of supporting it to offset bad compatibility with previous API...if you have some way to confirm that you still crash with RVT on with a RDNA2 GPU while rendering on DX11 it would be helpful...Damn, I have an AMD graphics card that crashes and gives me that "d3d error" message. While I did see a workaround, I hope that a better fix happens. I rarely see this happen so its strange to see 1 game give me so many crashes. I have a 6750 w a 3700x. The crashes usually happens when talking to the girl that lets u have airdrops. Also I did turn off RVT.
And before someone asks, yes, the dev has tried migrating the project to Unreal 5, everything broke up, at this stage in development is no longer possible sadly...
