Does anyone have any advice for a new player? I can't seem to make it past wave 10 no matter how selective I am about breeding. I've a few questions too. Can you pause the games progress so you have time to manage your settlement, can you heal your settlement and your soliders and is there anyway to delete slaves. My invitory becomes pretty mucky after awhile with slaves that I simply don't need any longer.
At the moment, getting to wave 10 is about as good as it gets. Because the enemies are getting stronger, but you aren't. And the structure of your defenses frequently fails if you try to replace your defenders with fresh ones.
The main problem is, breeding doesn't actually improve your defenders' stats. It looks like it should do so, but it doesn't.

I don't know man but I feel gob shortstack is a trap
the stats not worth the four cost
I actually fail hard try using them
3 gob archer and 4 gob melee is still the best

Feels like this update made the game a bit harder.
I agree though, Shortstack goblin is a trap consider its 4 cost for deployment and slow firing rate their damage can't compare to the speed of 3-4 goblin archers this also accounts for stunning the enemy which lets you get more hits in before they do.

Unless the bug (or feature yet implemented) where our monsters inherit traits is fixed they seem under-powered at best.

honestly, the ability to have more than one 'outpost' per side, or even upping the deployment limit to 20 instead of ten, would probably fix our survival issues until at least wave 20. if i micromanage the hell out of my gobs right now, i can maybe squeeze my way to wave 18 before throwing my hands up, but with just ten more points to allocate soldiers i wouldn't struggle half as much. or just give us the ability to build barricades or damaging traps or something. i wouldn't even say we need to get stronger, just give us more to work with.

Good news is I've seen a lot of the stuff people have problems with here commented on the Ci-En in Japanese, and the devs asked for bug reports there, so they're probably known by the dev already. Should be fixed soonish hopefully, at least the stuff that isn't just unfinished. Pretty clear the lack of content is going to take a while to fill in, but some stuff is straight up broken atm. Looking forward to when it's more playable.

what i think this game or type of game needs to be more fun is just a rouge like aspect

this one is already better in gameplay than monster black market

like more focused on combat with the breeding being there to make money and better units, in monster black market i only did better monsters because i was bored and had nothing to do

but here the upgraded mosters stats could and should be important to actually win on later waves and have 2 type of stat category:

one for combat like you can make monsters to have more health, defense ecc, wich by breeding enough will get more stats with no cap, like +200 health for first time and his son will have 250 and his son will have 300 and so on, until like idk at 1000 he will evolve from goblin to ogree and have a bonus on his stats that go from 200 to 300 to 400 instead of just 50 more

the other:

for money, where we can build a brother or something like in monster black market upstairs, money wich we can use for upgrades better weapons for goblins better defense for base ecc

the stats would be like the first one faster breeding (this game is way to slow i am always pressing on speed up) faster sex faster everything, also more money and more popularity so we get more customers

and at one point they might also evolve, like humans become succubus and elves dark elves or dryads or something like that, maybe small fairy race too who can only breed with other small races like humans and goblins, no ogree or idk

also remove goblins as enemy in the waves, would be good if we the mc sided with mosters against humanity and they are raiding our ass to stop us before we become demon king or something like that

maybe have random upgrades option after every wave like in rouge like style, something something either more time between waves (wich we can skip if we are ready so we dont have to wait) or stuff like that


would be cool if we could use skills like in that one google game we all used to play as kids were we start as cave mans on the left against cave man on the right and we "evolve" to stone age and enemy can to and goes on to futuristic fights with laser guns ecc until on dies

here it would be cool to have like skills like if we could put something like dryads in the fild, and use a skill to make them summon a tree to fight for them or something like that, that costs mana that you have to build up by idk "removing" dead humans or mosters like you removed them in monster black market for pixies, which this game needs i want them :(

idk if the game was like this i would play a lot more but being a porn game and the rule says all porn game have to be dogshit absolute low quality 200 euro budget i guess it wont and it will get an update once every 20 years until it gets forgoten

i want tripple A hentai games like dave the diver, terraria, amnesia, idk maybe omori or IB

i dont want cheap indie games like no man sky, cyberpunk 2077 or starfield...

It's crazy that there are people on the dev's Ci-en account saying they survived 40+ days and have over 1000 units when I couldn't even get past day 10. They're really sweating the hell out of an incomplete game.

It's possible to quantity over quality it. If you ignore trying to breed characters for stats and just spam goblins and replace them quickly when they die, it's not too challenging atm. Basically a brute force attack, which probably won't be possible in the future for some reason. I'm guessing eventually stuff will cost money and you might have to manage food or something, which will limit how many goblins you can spam a wave.

Would be pretty bad game design if they just let you field a million weak, untrained goblins every attack without any consideration for tactics or breeding more powerful gobs, lol. I doubt they'll forget to close off those kind of tactics since Black Market had some bottlenecks like that.

you can use cheat engine to find the value of the barricades and freeze it at 0 to let you add unlimited gobs per side. don't concern yourself with the max value, just add or remove gobs until you limit it down to a 4byte value, then freeze it at 0.

1. Wish I could add more towers to defend from. Or upgrade them for more troops. Or at least put units in reserve, so that as I lose unit they are replaced.

2. Wish there was a way to get rid of human girls that serve no purpose. Maybe as sacrifice to some dark god for "money".

3. If one or two enemies manages to get past my units, as I am replacing them, and attack door there is no way to stop them.

4. Recommend adding a tank unit called Hobgoblin, supply of 3, slow melee attacker. Male

5. Recommend adding a priest unit called Imps, supply of 5, healer. Female

Over all good so far.

The game's difficulty does not continue to rise after a certain point, so it's easier than you might think. Example:
Build 21 (7x3 grid) breeding rooms and 4 milk rooms as soon as you start and start breeding human females with the protagonist as soon as it is possible, as human females are the bottleneck earlygame. Once you start getting female goblins, use them for milk rooms instead to free up more human females to breed. During attacks, constantly drag goblins into the battle to replace casualties. You will eventually begin to produce more goblins per day than could possibly die to an attack, reaching snowball status. I'm only on day 18 in my screenshot, but I have gone further in the past.

Only breed melee units. Archers are terrible, as they cost more and can not body-block enemy units.

Breeding good traits largely does not matter yet. I agree with everything FruitSmoothie said in his above post.

I expect in finish product we will have auto system like the pixies MBM for auto pick up defeat female , auto birth and auto milk feeding.
Maybe they will add slave merchant NPC like Amilia in MBM to sell off useless slave and monster. (and now we know where Amilia get the slave and monster from)
I hope they allow us to zoom in more , like x2 right now. The animation kind of small with current zoom rate.

With current development speed then it going to take about 2 years or so.

I tried archers only and the issue is that once an enemy makes it past and there are more enemies, even if you add melee units, they are going to ignore the attacker tearing down the walls.
I'd still go 2 or 3 archers and the rest melee though, since archers getting down some melee enemies before they reach you is good and I feel like melee only dies too fast.

I have kept trying around with traits, the only ones that actively show traits are women and it doesn't do anything for them (and the text and displayed values sometimes don't even match), at most conception rate could but the difference is so small you can't even test it. So yes, best to ignore them.

I decided not to raise shortstacks once the lactation rooms are full, at first I thought they were useful, but I had not known that you can also drag human women or sisters into the MC rooms. I might not even use them for lactation to keep the goblin tab easy to navigate.
