Figure out the enemy elements (use the battlenote item to find enemy weaknesses) and use armor/buffs to counter their elements. This alone negates like 80% of the damage you end up taking, same stuff for status effects.

To give an example, after level 25 most enemies will start to heavily use attacks that drain MP instead of dealing health damage, and at 0 MP your character will die. You have access to a buff (exorcist's barrier) that reduces MP damage taken and that turns a 20-40 damage hit to MP into a 1 damage hit.

Keep an eye on the topbar too, and think about equipping a tome of turmoil to weaken enemies and buff your own attacks even further.

If you're missing skills look at what you can craft or go back and do treasure stuff.

It's at the title screen, I'll attach my save for you to look at it. This is not a 100% save, just for anyone else downloading it.

Edit
It seems that character endings for achieving friendship with a character unlock if you see the final sex scene in the recollection room, weird.

Hot springs area, if you choose to make them go in together with you, the pronant option, then play with each girl until you see the option to do something more extreme, if it isn't available by default, I didn't pay attention, the violate options are scrambled. Violate Serafina violates Jueli, violate Irito violates Serafina, violate Jueli violates Irito, Niva is the only one whose violate option is correct. Just pointing that out in case anyone is avoiding any of the four for any reason.

Thanks. Mostly though I think it's just that I hadn't been focusing on certain upgrades (my characters usually just died instead of actually going back to base) so it was causing me problems.

I tried searching for a guide for the endings, so far there are nine in total. From what I've understood at ulmf:
  • evil end
  • evil end but do not H the heroine
  • good end
  • 4 sister end (each)
  • a super nice guy end a super evil end
Anyone knows concrete details? I kinda don't want to go on a blind search for the other endings (also I'm addicted right now send help)
A quick search on google came up with the japanese wiki page for the endings . It's in japanese, but if you run it through a translator you can get the general idea for the ending requirements and what actions force you onto the bad routes.

Anyone know where Irina's present is. I'm on floor 40 and still havent found it
I think these should be correct
Irito's Present: 2F-2 (2F, hole in the wall where the imps were sealed) -> just left of entrance, need to move a green boulder.
Niva's Present: 6F treasure room (6F, enter "money" on the door, needs dictionary from 17F southwest which you reach from the bottom two stairs up on 18F)
Serafina's Present: 10F (after the 10F story stuff, have to move the purple boulder)
Jueli's Present: 16F (entrance past the purple boulder)

There should really be some hints for these - I had to search the files to find Irito's Present since I'd forgotten about it after so many hours since 2F.

The game really rewards searching for stuff. I keep finding things I've missed (just now on 50F, if you go up the stairs back towards the top of the map, you can keep going into the darkness and find one of Niva's boosts)

Stuck in the cave that you get to from 1F, I always end up on the ledge with the up stairs that take you back to the top, I can't figure out how to continue OR leave since waterfall climbing isn't something I can do.

After going through the stairs: rightmost waterfall, first left then stick to the right (so 2nd from right at the bottom), then stick to the left.
Should put you into a fight, then you can leave through some stairs.

anyone know how the brothel affects endings? i heard u got a bad ending that doesn't allow new game + if u prostitute any of the girls but when does it happen.
I'm curious about this if anyone happens to know more about it. Was going to go for a super evil ending so I can enjoy the good endings later. But, if there's some arbitrary thing you could do during a run that prevents you from doing a NG+... That would really suck and kind of ruin an otherwise solid game. (Unless it's just like some "game over" thing, which just requires you to reload a recent save where you can still complete the game and start on a NG+. That's no biggie.)

Edit: It mentions on the wiki, (translated using Google translate) "If any one of the sisters is prostituted, it will be a bad end in the final race. At this end, you will not be able to take over from the beginning." So is this going to be like a thing where you make one decision that's perfectly in line with what you'd normally do in an "evil" route and then many many hours down the road it just randomly punishes the player and prevents a NG+ run? (Even though for every other "bad" ending you're not punished at all and can still move on to a NG+.) Because that's what I'm reading from this. I'd love to be wrong though, because this sounds like some awful game design.

its not random if u try to prostitute one of them there's a ton of text warning you and saying if u do it do not overwrite your save. i just wanna know where the cutoff is since as far as i know this ending isn't part of the 9 so it seems like a mid game ending.

Ah, that's not as bad as I was expecting then. Warnings are nice. Still, sounds quite arbitrary. Despite of all the horrible things you can do in this game, that's the one that punishes you not as the character, but as the player. Odd design choice. And I'd like to know if there are any cutoffs for this as well. The wiki makes it sound like you get the bad end for it only at the last boss.

the good endings are pretty straight foward + a true ending and a normal one.

the evil routes are based off small differences
first one is the standard evil route
second one is if u manage to get onto the evil route without actually harming the sisters so things like raping npcs and mass theft
third one u get if u kill more then 5 npcs.

The name you want to enter is Satan. I remembered reading somewhere that the king of demons opened another room to that door, so I tried Isaroth, foras, and then I randomly tried satan and BOOM! it worked
True, but there's another path. Once you get the book that lets you read the foreign language. One of them says instead of saying the Demon Lord's name, something about gold and silver.

I'd kiss you right now if I could, lol seriously thank you. Just finished the secret boss at 50f man you'd have to abuse all equipment attribute for that time for that other ending. Games like this are a masterpiece.

The Japanese text to enter is literally "gold and silver" (金銀 or 金銀財宝). Dunno if it was added specifically for the English version, but "money" works. And then "satan" or "lucifer" for the Demon Lord's name.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to get Heavenly Metal.
There's also apparently a treasure mission on 40F that you get the info for from 30F, but I can't figure out how.
Other than that I'm close to finishing my first run through.

Can someone post a save for evil route? I can post mine for the good routes (I will have to sort it out first) but I highly recommend experiencing it first. Also other good end is not full translated D:.
