in 3 or 4 years this game wouldnt be complete. i wouldnt be surprised if it is abandoned by then. so still a scam. the amount this game earns vs the amount of content published is a scam
Can you avoid any dicks and do an all-lesbian playthrough, or is this another one of those games where getting fucked by a guy is unavoidable?

That's the sad reality of porn games, its so easy to fool people, we have seen this for over a hundereds of games and the biggest living example of it is Fallen Doll.
This game started on 2018, it's been.... 5 years since then.
Waiting 3 or 4 years is unrealistic, try 30 or 40

You can avoid it as long as you don't get caught by anyone other than police girl (as long as her male friend is not present that is).

I mean, the gameplay itself is alright. Needs a little fleshing out, but it's decent enough. The overall progress leaves a lot to be desired, though.

i mean the gameplay isnt that good tho... only 2 combo strings, 1 charged punch? nothing else. no other combos, no grabs(from player), no other attacks..

5+ years? some might have a more accurate number
Pure Onyx was announced on 21-Sep-2018, but MatM was last updated on 05-May-2018, so those months in-between are in no man's land (we don't know when Eromancer decided to switch, and the design of Pure Onyx goes back to early 2017).
However, that iteration of Pure Onyx (with 2D charcters) was short lived and last updated on 06-Jun-2019. On 10-Jul-2019 Eromancer announced the current iteration of Pure Onyx (with 3D characters).
So the answer to your question is:
In the current 3D iteration? 4 years
How long has Eromancer been paid for this? 5+ years

Now, the motive for my question was:
Other beat em' up games have been developed in less time... River city girls was developed in around 3 years iirc.
And most indie games, no matter what genre, take around 5 years of development full time until they're completed.
And i don't think this game is Red Dead 2 levels of effort (8 years of development).
And yet, here we are.
Not even half the content of any other indie game.

The problem is, "art" is subjective. And those who defend Eromancer (or any other creator with questionable MOs) will always use the same excuses (this game is different / it's a small team / they're not making enough money) that usually end up with the nonsensical "if you think you're better, do a game yourself".
IMO, the problem with Eromancer isn't that much that this game has been in development for so long with such low content, but his scummy behaviour (which I've written many posts about in this thread).
There are plenty of NSFW creators that work at a snail's pace, but most of them are wise enough to shut up, apologize or at least pretend they're trying to work faster. Not Eromancer.

You could argue that a lot is promised (advertised), and slowly or not at all delivered. If you have time on your hands read his posts and count how many new characters are promised, work out the number of animations needed (including H) and come up with an approximate completion date based on what is implemented. Super creative guy though!
This thread has 232 pages filled with posts with a lot of valuable info, and I don't want to repeat myself, but here are a few highlights:
- The way he lied about MatM development and how he abandoned it
- The way he still pretends MatM is not abandoned, just "frozen" after 5 years.
- The way he developed (2D) Pure Onyx for a year and then abandoned it.
- The way he lied about Patreon's censorship for almost 2 years and then feigned surprise as if he didn't know what was going on.
- The way he said that Patreon's censorship wouldn't affect the game's output and then slowed down the game's output "because he needed to re-do the censored animations"
- The way he only opened a Subscribestar account after many supporters threaten to leave, and then set an unrealistic goal on it so he can continue milking both Patreon and Subscribestar (and the occasional sale on itch.io) while delivering half the amount of content that before.
- The way he announced XXXIV and then abandoned it in just a couple months
- The way he reuses "WIP content" for years over and over and over again (because he knows his supporters have the attention span and memory of a blue fish)
...and many, many, MANY, more.
