I like that you can change both the names of the girls and the nicknames. However, I'm so uncreative. What names did you guys use. I named the mc Lucifer.

Played this today to find out what the fuss is all about. After playing I understood why.. great writing, more than decent renders and cute looking girls. I'm a fan!

As I understand it, this game is about incest "father" and "daughter" right?
If it is, it will be very welcome, games are missing
theme, "mother" and "son" we are well served here on the site.
But "father" and "daughter" are very few, really good, almost nothing, most have been abandoned.
DMD doesn't count, I don't consider that a "romance",
just a porn game, pretty bad by the way.

I tend to use defaults - unless they remind me of certain people. I dislike games which don't give you defaults for that, because it may make talking about characters more difficult. Also I have experienced that I named a character the same that a later character was named by the devs. Oopsie.
MC wise, I am usually using my name unless the character is completely out of believability for me. Yeah, boring like that.

You can name yourself as "Utonium", then nickname the redhead as "Blossom", the blonde "Bubbles" and the Brunette one as "Buttercup" if you want. Even their personalities fit with that.

I might be mistaken, but I think Sir Damned doesn't like slow burns. That is not to say we will have a full blown orgy next release, but you might get some special daddy-daughter bedtime stories sessions.

It would be curious as to what would constitute a "romance" for an adult VN in your view! Adult VNs are typically intended to offer adults-only sexual content, yet it took the MC and D in DMD an entire first season for their shared experiences to engage in somewhat hesitant foreplay. Then it required another season until the finally had "PinV" after a rather emotional buildup involving the legal and emotional flight from her mother.
It's fair to not like the game, but I'd offer that its story is the most consistent remark we hear from fans as to why they caught onto DMD. People actually complained for the entire first season that its buildup in relationship for between the two protagonists and with secondary characters) was slow to become more sexually-invested.

DMD is just very repetitive. It took a long time until something happens between the mc and his daughter and after that it seems like the dev doesn't really know where he wants the story to go so he just spams sex scenes.

To each their own, though that's not my experience:
1st season: buildup of the romance, secondary characters filled out, basic plot of changing futures for both MC and D form
2nd season: secretive romance starts to blossom, other secondary characters engaged (optional), huge convergence of plotlines into the "freedom"-based season conclusion
3rd season: moved to a new location together, sex is now regular and secondary+tertiary characters are intimately involved (optional), marriage proposal made and accepted, future jobs being actively pursued
4th season: (we'll see, but marriage and living together is a major, conjoined goal)
Their other game that recently ended, Melody, was also popular and went on a similar buildup trajectory with slow burn that - once you hit a certain point - yes, the sex scenes start becoming more frequent to represent that level of relationship attainment. But, that doesn't mean the story has hit a dead end and Melody's ending(s) showed that clearly. For DMD, marriage, sustainable lifestyle (i.e., jobs, home, etc.) is the ultimate goal - but, even that will have options available. They very clearly wanted to offer sharing/swapping/swinging as an option for players, on top of the core relationship getting more close and kinky as they develop a path to living together fulltime.
In terms of this game, I don't think we know where the goals lie yet - aside from the MC apparently wanting to support his daughters in some manner and be a father that he never knew he was. If the buildup here is slow as well, that seems fine to me so long as it's entertaining along the way.

So, I can respect your opinion! I don't share it, personally (and kind of stated what I've seen from the game in a different post above), but I feel strongly in each person's tastes driving their own affinity for a game or not.
It seems that some elements of the story evolution hit on subject types you really don't like - even though that's all completely optional (i.e., I play both a "pure" D path and a "swinging" path to compare/contrast) - so, thanks for sharing your perspective from my question about what it might be.
When it comes to Radiant, I think it is still too early to see how it might evolve into offering maybe some similar themes or not.

A good summarization. However in judging it, I am in Badjourasmix' camp here. First and second chapter for me had a great buildup and development, slowly inching your way forward, fighting against antagonists (Lucas, Mommy). Once this has been resolved in chapter three it's more tying up loose ends. That's okay of course, but there's no feel of progress for me anymore. And yes, sex is now regular, but also very repetitive to watch, and the tendency of the MC to be in absolute awe everytime he sees his daughter in a new dress or in the buff, the shilling of "how great she looks", including the "wow" Ren'Py screenshake, gets tiresome. Add to that that all tension from the incestual situation was removed - now everybody is fine with it and wants to join in - and the story grinds to a halt. The small steps in job questions do feel more like "this should have been in an epilogue" to me. What happens in chapter 3 is mostly "go to girl, fuck girl, go to next girl" (depending on the side routes you had active), many of which don't have any romatic aspect at all anymore (Elena, Olivia). That's probably what gives the impression of "porn instead of romance" because the last part lingers on - the first two certainly weren't in that camp.
Yes, Melody (one of my absolute favorite VNs) fell a little in that trap, too, towards the end it could have done with some fewer scenes for me. But at least I felt some story still going on about the musical career.
But in the end, we're talking Radiant here, not DMD nor Melody, and we'll see how it plays out. I am optimistic.

Ya I like that you can name and choose age for the characters. Not many games give that freedom
Ya theres tons of mother/son and brother/sister games and they're all so similiar. Definitely need more father/daughter ones!
If they're going to update only 2-3 times a year there better be some action in each update
Not a fan of DMD. The daughter looking like a 30 yr old pornstar with fake boobs just isnt convincing to me. Another thing I like with Alorths images

Actually, people have the right to complain about whatever they want. If you want to throw your money at a project without knowing what you're getting, what to expect, or when to expect it you go right ahead. Not everyone is willing to do that though
