Dev's did too good a job at setting the story up.

I'm so depressed about how Gracie's life panned out after prom night that I just can't bring myself to play the game after I get her letter.
This may not be any consolation, but I'm going to try to console you anyway. :p

The way Gracie's life ended was indeed tragic, and there was a lot of physical stress she endured from working constantly to support her girls that likely contributed to her getting sick.

But something I plan to show players is that it wasn't all bad.

I'm sure that there was moments of joy and what little I know of the girls, she seems to of done a fine job but the fact that our relationship got interrupted was sad.

Then it's compounded by the fact that she was still out there when I woke up but we skipped ahead in years until it was too late and that takes it from sad to tragic.

I therefore know in my 'feels' that as well modelled as the girls are that I'm not going to be engaging in any shady stuff with them and I'm guessing that such a decision will mean that I'll be missing a fair chunk of the fine work you put in.

Still is a very damn good work and I would still Patreon for that reason if it weren't for having to watch them covid £'s right now.

EDIT: Reading the thread regarding the bits I didn't get to (namely the potential overuse of the 'knock on the door' reveal), If instead of the girls showing up, I was mysteriously called to the hospital;

Phonecall
MC "Huh! I don't have an appointment"

At Hospital
MC "Those girls look familiar"

Ushered into a room where a familiar if drawn face awaits me
MC "GRACIE!"

and then she lays it on me as part of a dying wish.

I would ofc be a wreck of a reader but would of felt some sort of closure.

As much as I agree with you, I will still "engage in shady stuff" with them. That's what this game is here for. I would Patron too if not for the high pricing of the tiers.

Yeah, it's a porn game at the end of the day but those are a dime a dozen and the more popular (financially successful) one's have the good graphics (that this one has) but also really, really hits the story notes.

I really like this game so far. A good chuck of content for a first release, but I was really hoping it would get updated more frequently. It's been over 3 months since it was launched.
The game seems like it is still being worked on. I get the impression that this dev prefers to release updates with more content and fewer bugs. The high quality models probably require some rendering muscle and extra work, too. I'm not pretending to be an expert on 3d models, but I do some writing, and quality content takes time, and not everyone can produce at the same pace. I think this dev is also working on and updating other projects as well. I'm not saying whether this is a "good" pace or not, but I don't believe the project has been abandoned, which happens to more than a few of these games.

I don't think (can well be mistaken) that high quality renders don't really need more computer muscles than most lower quality renders with the same software and resolution. It is just that placing everything perfectly and reworking a smile six times before it feels natural will take more time than "place this plate in the approximate area of the table where it will be floating, and the girl's mouth is bending upwards, so happy face is done". Similar to how you will know from writing, that you need to write, rewrite, and rewrite again a simple sentence just because it doesn't really work, before you realize you have to restart the whole paragraph.

Most what you said is true, with posing and re-rendering and re-writing sometimes.
But the high quality renders take a lot more time to render than one of my older games renders for example.
That has to due with the different lightnings.
On my first game I used spotlights, wich the quality was pretty avarage, render time was around 15 minutes with a gtx 1080.
On my game Neko Paradise lightning was a mixture of sun-sky and spotlights and some ghostlights, wich took 40m to 1 hour on the gtx 1080. But of course the skin texture quality was also already superior here.
On Radiant I use self made mesh lights on a at least 3 way colour setup on 4096 lightning resolution. wich takes a gtx 1080 4 to 6 hours to render one image. And the HD skin textures of course also impact the rendering time.
On my double rtx 2080 ti now it takes 15/25 minutes for one render for Radiant.
Thanks to my new rig I was also able to upgrade the quality of characters and lightning on my other game.
The amount of different lightning and reflections impact the render time a lot.
If I would make a render like any avarage game it would take me less than a minute to render one image with 2 rtx 2080 ti with NVlink.
I should also mention that rendering huge animations that have over 100 frames will take a lot of time, 15 minutes don't seem like a lot for one image, but for animations it's a damn lot of time.

Really nice start for the Game. A bit sad because of what happend to the Girls mom. It shocked me a little was hopping we would see her again but 18 years older. Had a tear in my eye. But great Renders and very nice models. I like it very much. Hope we get an update and that it will not be so sad anymore.

I'm more logical so I know the answer is that he/we can't really do nothing but pay reparations, but if she was a good mother that wouldn't matter.
Edit: maybe ask him to donate to nonprofits that help people in the same situation
What if the dead prick was coming from the same dance and was drunk and caused the accident? [cough, cough, football douchebags]

I seriously need a new update before I slip into a coma...
