Well there was a lot of time passed and the end result is you never got anywhere and it was all useless. Or you blew everything you know and love up for one girl.

Well -- as much as I respect devs doing that, pausing the payments from just 8 Patrons (the dev you've just mentioned) will definitely have less impact than pausing payment from ~1,000 Patrons.

Yeah, the first chapter is the best so far. It is noticeable that the author has made enough efforts to evoke the emotions in readers and convey the feelings of the characters. Unfortunately, in the next chapters, the writing part gets worse. Imho, of course.

Anybody know if there has been a status update from Alorth or Sir Dammed recently?
I have not seen anything from Sir Damned but I don't know about Alorth.
Edit: I saw that Alorth just released the next rev of Neko Paradise on July 26th.

Sure, there hasn't been an update in forever. Sure, the Dev despite missing his own hard deadlines (that he self imposed after missing multiple hard deadlines in the past) hasn't had the decency to pause the patreon funds. Sure each update is smaller and weaker than the one before, almost as if this whole thing is just designed to drag out and milk as much money from people for as little work as possible....
For what its worth though, the supporters (of which I am admittedly not one) seem content with his production and values system. So there's not much any (non supporter) can do except laugh and enjoy the show.
*That was a verb not a direct object. Literally sacrifice for the Dev, so he can enjoy a better lifestyle via your hard earned money.
