Why when I beat the final boss in sengoku Rance and I get the fin I want to play the other route but when I go to start new game it is going right to the true route not my 2 gameplay.

cant seem to start a new game + or 2nd playthrough after beating sengoku rance

Anyone have a fix for this? It's pretty gamebreaking.

Edit: Apparently, the solution is to right click the SaveData folder, go to the properties menu, go to the securities tab, and turn on write/modify permissions.

If you notice that your saves aren't appearing the first time you enter the save menu, then you might want to apply that fix before doing the final boss fight because otherwise you'll end up having to redo it in order to access newgame+.

Edit 2: You might want to do it as soon as you notice it's an issue since it seems that it won't record you acquiring items, defeating factions, etc for the purposes of unlocking newgame+ rewards. I have 29 points and nothing I really want to spend it on aside from the action fan.

You should be getting an option to choose either normal play or free for all and then get an option to choose your new game+ rewards immediately upon clicking on new game from the main menu.

Edit: to access new game+, you must finish the final boss fight while your saves are working. If you can see all your saves the first time you click "continue" from the main menu, then your saves should be working.

Then try giving full control to every single user available, not just the one(s) that you *think* you need to.

One question, I never played the Rance saga and wanted to know if the story is correlative. I am from Argentina and my English is basic, I can get the Rance 6 and 7 to Spanish. What I'm going to do, if I start from 6, will something happen that I won't understand in the previous stories? My idea is to play the 6th and then the 7th since both are only the ones I got in Spanish.

Rance 1 to 5 are more about introducing the world then anything, the sixth game is when the Plot really start to get going, so starting with Rance 6 isn't much of a problem.

That was because it was a major pain to get it working properly on modern western computers

I for 1 have never had any problems playing it.

The one you have to run in Japanese local?

All I know from the ama on /v/ a few months ago was that it was a major pain to get working right on modern non-Japanese machines. I think there was also a problem with not having enough space in text windows and boxes for all the English letters replacing the fewer Japanese characters.
