and only then because there's no way for a dev to close their account while there's still active subs and SS themselves only do it when the police get involved (for the devs that make content that's illegal where they live and get caught). So vacation pausing for the next 24 years is the only option left.

Well the game isn't officially abandoned. This site has specific rules about the "abandoned" tag and Red Lucy met the criteria, that's all. People are just speculating, but officially it's not abandoned. The Dev is just a retard about communicating to his followers

Yeah, well, after going back and reading posts from July onward (after 6 months since the previous update I start wondering where the next update is) it's pretty much abandoned, dev simply isn't communicating that either. I mean who actually goes on vacation for 24 years? That's a pretty big clue. At this point people might as well still expect the MC in Summer's Gone to actually have a baby with Nami right before a completed tag when that's not even really a porn game anymore. I know, hope is almost always the last thing to die.

Check this thread, the other Dev vision stated he was the one who put subscribe star on vacation mode, because at the time he hadn't heard anything from Lefrench and didn't feel it was right keeping it open with no information. He doesn't have access to the patreon so that was all he could do he said.
Nobody knows if the game will continue or not, but officially it's not abandoned according to the devs who have stated as much. The problem is the dev team (two people I think) is basically just really incompetent, and hasn't released any statements on patreon, or elsewhere. Lefrench is a talented artist and vision is the coder, neither of them are very good at communication

As much as I'd love to be proven wrong, I've already come to terms with the fact that this game is dead.
And this is definitely hard to accept for someone who was a patreon for over 1 year.
The dev ghosted everyone including his own collaborator for weeks when the update was supposed to be not too far away, and then when he finally showed up he just told the people on Discord about his moving from Canada to Venice (
). Very very briefly, just a few words, and of course nothing at all on Patreon yet, where his supporters are still being charged as far as I know. Not a single word since April 17. I think there's no legitimate excuse for this.
If his moving to one of the most expensive and overcrowed cities in Europe is true, I'm assuming it's because he found a really good job that made it worth it. I'll be happy for him since his finances didn't seem to be going exceedingly well in Quebec. Therefore, you all had better abandon all hope of this game being among his priorities any time soon.
Besides, IF he decided to resume the development after some time, there would probably be very little to come back to. The trust between him and his former supporters will likely be gone forever. He has less than a third of the patreon supporters he had in January. If he felt iffy about going on with this project back then, imagine what he might be thinking now.

Looking at the discord, it seems to be just a friend group now or something. I remember him saying way back he didn't do it for the money though, and that he was well off. He also posted in discord something maybe a month or so ago about being back in Montreal. Very confusing situation all around. I have a theory that he just lost it and checked out, and the other dev was having personal issues so there ya go

His discord is pretty much dead. It's only a few fine folks talking about fun stuff less and less often, and it's been long since it stopped looking like a game dev's discord. You won't find anything new connected with the game anymore; and I mean NOTHING AT ALL.
The trip to Montreal was just a temporary thing, if my memory serves me. He had to get some paperwork done or stuff like that.
During the first year of development, he clearly stated that he would wait until the one-year mark to decide if the support he was getting was worth the effort, and then he'd reassess his situation. That first year ended in June 2023 and he wasn't happy (rightfully so, I dare say).
He probably tried to rekindle his love of the game by doing something new, introducing those new sections, updating the UI and stuff like that (which from my POV was a waste of time and effort), but it didn't work. Now it's plain to see that he lost any passion for this game a long time ago.
Personally, I'm quite sure he hasn't even put a minute of work into it for the last months. When he was working on the game, he'd come up with a special render every now and then, maybe once a week, twice a week, maybe one again 10 days later... Renders that were posted on Discord, sometimes on Patreon, and almost always shared here too. I guess he found insparation while he was working on something else.
By last year's autumn/fall though, the special renders started becoming less frequent (once a month, once every other month,...), and they stopped altogether last spring, even before he went missing for weeks.
The last thing related to the game that he even mentioned was a trailer he was working on back in June. On Discord.

iirc this dev at the beginning promised monthly updates. That's why it's better not to promise fantastic things, you never know what will happen.

But there were previews for the newest supposed update aswell? I remember him saying something about multiple paths and that it was alot more work this time around. Then the update was done and nothing...

Yes. In fact, in March he made a post on Discord titled "Last previews before the update." The update wasn't done, but it was close.
Then he made one more post in April explaining the progress he'd made during those weeks, how they'd post once a week from them on, how important branching was going to become for the game moving forward..., and that's the last time anyone heard from him there.
BTW, one more self-explanatory fact: I've just noticed his website is offline. Remember, his website which was the only channel for people to download the game, including patreon subscribers.

I read people complaining months ago that their users weren't activated on the website days after paying for their subscriptions. No one ever replied to them, at least in public.
Now not even the website is active. Right now there's no way to download the game legally.
Damn, talk about making like Steve Miller and taking the money and running. And this is why I seldom sub when i can just get it from a pirate site for free, unless subbing is the only way to get it due to it being banned on every pirate site due to content, as I do sub to about a dozen possible psychopath devs, or a couple that have started making photorealistic AI AVNs that are a legal grey area so no free site wants to touch it (at least it's mostly pirate proof from the dev's standpoint).
