This would be a reasonable. But he had said previously he was done, and had sent the renders to Vision to finish the update. Things happen, but they really should just make a status at this point to update everyone on what exactly is going on. Patrons clearly aren't happy

That's a pretty foolish assumption (obviously intended to imply that no issues exist and dev is just being dishonest, I know). But it still fails the test of basic logic. If I have a schedule of due dates those are obviously the days I would post that I am not finished and X is the reason why. I probably have those same issues (family, illness, etc.) all the other days in between, but I feel no responsibility to post my private business until one of those "due" dates comes around and I am forced to. To assume that issues exist in dev's life only on the days he posts about them (because of an update schedule he created probably before any personal issues started/became problematic) is a poor assumption.
this whole situation is quite ...an odd one. cause things indeed don't really add up, especially with vision. i first thought vision wasn't done and since he might have IRL problems then that's why it's taking this long. but i actually was able to talk to him after writing the post on the channel and yes, he has severe IRL issues and won't be coming back for at least a few months (and i can tell you, those problems ain't peanuts!). but he finished his job aparently. so everyone is now waiting for lefrench. i will give him a week and if he doesn't answer the questions you guys asked in the red lucy channel then ima talk to him again. i wanna know myself if he wants to go on, if the update is now done or not and how things will generally move on from this point onwards. ain't any fun being a mod of a server that is basically dead. i do wanna give him the benefit of the doubt, but having to do the explaining for him and keep it civilized on his server without even being part of that team, thus not knowing the full picture of what's going on, is getting on my nerves.

No. It's a disease called "ImadoitwhenIdoit" it's kind of like Covid, but lasts for months and months.
It is the most unluckiest job in the world.
