How to get more patrons?
I agree that it is a mystery.
That said, look at hachi who makes Hail Dicktator. He is on version 28. He posts a new update with 300 renders every three weeks. People believe he will continue to add to his game because he is consistent.
Other games, such as The Headmaster, are only on version 11 -- but this is an older game, one of the first in the bdsm genre, and every update has been very large.
I think Red Sakura Mansion can compete with the very best games because of its excellent renders, and I give it FIVE STARS.
But Red Sakura Mansion doesn't immerse the viewer in the world of the story as well as other games.
One problem is the taking of photos to get money. Every time this is done, the player gets OUT of the mind of the game. It is distracting and BREAKS the flow.
Also, there isn't enough story, not enough psychological development of the girls. People enjoy the pictures and the scenes, but few are asking, "What happens next in the story?" Instead, they are asking, "What is the next kink?"
To have a story, we need conflict.
Conflict is why Chloe is your best character. She feels uncertain about whether she should join the mansion. She is innocent and also curious. But there could be much MORE inner conflict in Chloe. For example, WHY is Chloe in the mansion? Because she needs money? Because she is aroused by it? Because she has no other place to go? Because she is falling in love with the MC? . . . . We don't know for sure why she is there.
And there can be other conflicts involving Chloe.
Maybe she becomes jealous of one of the other girls? Maybe she feels she's not good enough? Maybe someone is looking for her, such as an ex-boyfriend or her father? Maybe she was trained to be a sex slave by her mother -- but she wants to deny this?
Many times when playing Red Sakura Mansion, I think, "A story could be added without any additional renders, so easily . . . but it's not here."
You have more of a story in Slut Trainer, and Slut Trainer has no distracting "take photos to make money" outside the world of the game.
It is also distracting in Red Sakura Mansion to click on the next event in the girl icon. That takes you OUT of the game. I don't know if this can be easily fixed. A visual novel with scene automatically following scene might work much better.
Simpler is better.
Look at the very successful Mr Dot game Melody. It is mostly a visual novel, with a few paths that you can ignore if you don't like a girl. The viewer develops a "relationship" with Melody and wants to know what happens next.
I think a "relationship" with your girls can be made WITHOUT having to add additional renders. Just additional words. Plus conflicts that make us ask, "What's next?" instead of "What's the next kink?"
Your game has the best renders I've seen. And that makes this the best bdsm game, from the visual perspective.
Story, character, and breaking out of the world of the game with the photos to make money all the time -- those are weaknesses, but probably easy to fix.
