Bonjour!
I hope all of you had a very lovely February. I have a confession to make, I've probably procrastinated half of this month. Around February 10, I had to take a break because my hands were hurting. Closing and opening would hurt like hell, even after soaking it in warm water or do hand exercises, it still persisted. It was also near my birthday so I had a reason to goof off.
Well... a friend told me we should play this early-access game called Valheim. It's a survival/crafting game, like all other Early-Access games there, but set in the Viking era. I thought I could play, like, 6-7 hours and go back to work, right..?
NOPE! My conservative play time was around 100+ hours. It's nuts! I still have university work and finishing this update to do! So, I had to uninstall it almost a week ago because it's fucking up my schedule. The urge is still there,
very much there. I promised myself to not touch it till I release this update at least. Now, with that out of the way, let's talk about...
The update. Man, I basically rewritten the whole Episode 1 scenes. Re-arranged them to serve the main story plotline. Some of it were moved much later in the game. Heck, I even redid the pixel art scenes too which also took some time. Now, there's the second issue, there's gonna be a
"4.5" update, solely for Aanya.
It came up when I was writing/arranging the scenes that there were gaps. I realize this was around the time I started re-rendering the old episodes. Aanya had around 3 scene folders right now. The first event, the last event, and some event somewhere in the middle. I tried to fit the 3 scenes but the pacing will be too quick for my taste. If I had to render more scenes, this update will get much longer and I ain't doing that. The other thing is, there's supposed to be an area the MC will go to advance the plot. I just finished that a few days ago and added a cute girl attendant who knows what the MC will do in the future.
Overall, last month was very unproductive. I don't know why deadlines make me procrastinate even more. It's always the last 90% that seems the longest. I'll slap my face silly if I don't release this month. Anyways, it's the final lap, boys.
Cheers,
Polyrotix
