I did like this update but there's two things I am worried about or that I didn't see coming:
Other than that I liked it, 'twas a fun update and I am looking forward to the next installments. That cliffhanger - it was expected after all the build-up to it so no major surprise there. And we all know everything's gonna be all right. Although - this is also an 'Episode 6' so to speak *wonders* @MrKnobb You're not gonna pull an AL on us, are you?
That new 'far east angle' might become quite interesting! Sounds promising.
And last but not least - could James and Ito be the solution (so to speak) to MC's problems in deciding whom to romance? Nicky and Mei seem to be at least interested and / or intrigued.
- What the heck has happened between @MrKnobb and @DrPinkCake that all of a sudden there's this major plot hole in episode 4? I had read DrPinkcake's remarks in the AL thread on the 'separate paths' (to put it mildly) and found those astonishing in their harshness - that didn't sound friendly at all at the time but I put it off as maybe reading sth in it that wasn't there. Then MrKnobb wrote about it and that also didn't sound very friendly - not at all like an agreement between friends (or good colleagues) would sound. Now back to today - I wanted to re-build my Vicky / Nicky paths / saves so started anew in episode 4 and whoa - plot holes all of a sudden where scenes and text lines were simply deleted leaving major plot holes and also some tracebacks where the story references pictures / dialogue that was cut. @MrKnobb If that's the way this will have to be in the future I think that in the name of playability you should re-visit the relevant code....

That crossover w/ AL is now a thing of the past - Rey Rey is now called 'Andi' (sp?) and all the crossover scenes have been cut from the game leaving some major scars / holes in the story's continuity in episode 4.
A short crossover w/ 'Our Fate' is still in the game - in episode 5 the informer (aka the Dad from OF) is called by your 'in-game-name' from OF.

I wouldn't mind at all if Nicky and Mei found themselves new possible love interests in those two dudes, because as MrKnobb well knows, I'm all about Vicki here, haha, but now she does have a serious contender in Ann, damn she's so mighty fine, as is Vicki, just so yummy, two delicious mature women! =PI did like this update but there's two things I am worried about or that I didn't see coming:

Mate I disagree, I am not seeing any interest in Ann, he's kinda torn (or not after the developments in this update) between Nicky and Vicky. Possibly w/ a side dish of Mei (because of that Jade story, wonder what that is about). If anything he's kinda pissed at Ann...
So Mei and Nicky finding new love interests would open the way for MC/Vicky. And yes that one would be to my liking as well, she's hot!

Guess I wasn't too precise: I meant that to ME, Ann is a serious contender, as in, she's competing with Vicki for the spotlight, but they're both too damn delicious that they both have to come home with me, that's what I meant =P
Obviously in the story, to Jensen Ann but an old flame, and he is torn, shocked and the whole nine yards, but who knows what may happen down the road, old flames sometimes do get reignited, and I'd love Ann to become a possible love interest for Jensen to end up with, depending on choices made =P

I have no idea how I haven't noticed this game until now, but I'm glad I finally played it. I actually really enjoyed the story. Played through all the chapters in one sitting, and it left me wanting more. Amongst all the games on these forums, only Depraved Awakening and Dreams of Desire have kept me this interested in the story itself. Now to play the waiting game until the next release ^^

NOW to clear the confusion.
DocPink did not like that i had a very small cameo done with Our Fate. He pulled all Acting Lessons parts.
I am doing the same but was not my plan, unfortunately when he pulled all references in Episode 8 of AL i had to do similar. It's a massive pity to me as I really enjoyed what we have done and I love the crossover idea as it was mine from the start. DocPink as we all know is massively good as a dev. and he's helped me in past so much but he's decision has left me dumbfounded to be honest.
So Rena and all other Acting Lessons cast will not be in RTP anymore unfortunately. I will keep some of the characters background life's as they can also work with the new cast i will be introducing. Andrea (aka Andi) replaces Rena.
As for Our Fate, Cedsense is also an amazing dev. as you know and we did a fun thing. I also had a poster to The Way in one of the scenes as a shout out to Zee95 who's also a massively underrated game/dev.
Crossovers / colabs are still something i personally like so we will see if anything happens in the future. NO promises.
I will be redoing a re mastered version of Episode One, chapters 1-6 and it the whole formula will be rename to, Series One, Episode 1-6. I am now busy with Series Two, Episode 1
As for those who still not getting the story, on RTP discord channel there is a short synopsis of what it's about so far.
Truly it's not that complicated as many seems to follow the story without any issues. RTP is not for everyone that much is clear.

first reasonable and honest answer i got there ^^. text only games don't do it for me either. and you might be right what ya said there. yet i find it sad that we players don't crave for both (visuals and story) and rate accordingly (not to mention technical and graphical issues that can come up - i found some but no one mentions em in reviews). kinda reminds me of todays gaming standards especially triple a games, lots of graphic but not much to back it up.
okay enough talking on my side now (before i piss off too many people here). just felt like answering ya.
