3.8P2-pc Crashing on launch. Here's the log:

It doesn't seem like the log has any errors in it. My two guesses are either an incapability with the gl2 render, or a donwload/unpack issue with the game (as this has an engine update in it).

gl2 is the "easier" of the two to try. It does need a tiny amount of code change on your end, but I promise very minor, very easy. Look in "../RMAWH-r3.8P2-pc/game/scripts/" and find the file "scripts.rpy". Open it up (notepad is fine, but any text editor will work), and change the second line from:
define config.gl2 = True
to:
define config.gl2 = False

I'm not using any gl2 functionality yet. Mostly this is a test to see how many people have issue with it, and if it is something I can have access to (it seems more and more like the answer will be no).


If the game still wont open after that, my only other guess (baring crash information), is that something in the download/unpack has gone wrong. If you downloaded the "patch only" I'd stay try the full game instead. If you downloaded the full game, I'd say grab it again, and be sure to unzip it to a clean location (not overwriting any previous installs).


If it still doesn't open... I- don't know? Without an error, not sure how to troubleshoot something I can't see.

Just gotta say such a shame seeing it come to an end, but being able to play this alternative version was a blast and honestly i wish i could see others like this game but for different shows. It has been amazkng to see the effort you put to put your own personal spin on this game wish i could've seen your own game but for the reasons you've said and i can respect, thank you for all your free work and personal time you put on for use broke porn lovers. More than the number I've currently shared. I'm being deliberately vague for two reasons. One is (mild) spoilers, I want events in upcoming releases to be a surprise. Two, if we decide we need more updates, I don't want to hard commit to a set number yet.

I have a little rework going on with it right now for the next update. I'm a bit sad to see the old one go (it was visually more appealing and cute), but I think (hope?!) players will be happy with the significantly improved functionality?

Anyhow, here is a sneak peak at the new Mind Blowers page coming in r3.8 Part 3. Keep in mind that this is a WIP and by no means final (feedback welcome!) (although, holy shit, I can't believe I got it working in just a couple of hours).

What's new here? Individual character pages (and the "new/update" page) are no longer a thing, there is just one Replay page. By default, the page will show all repayable scenes on first entry, but this can be filtered down through several different options.

Characters are additive. So Selecting, say, Nancy and Reka, will show their combine scenes (Example shows Morticia and Tricia's scenes). Selecting a single character will show only that characters scenes. And Play All will play all the scenes displayed in the list, letting you make (sort of) custom Play Alls.

Additionally, there is also a content filter as well, which can be in three states. No filter (gray), Active (white), or Blocked (red). While no filter is active, all options are shown. Once a filter is active, only active filters will display (so, select "new" and "anal" would only show new scenes with anal in them). This can be combine with characters to filter down their scenes quickly, or used to just find specific scenes throughout the whole game.

Lastly, is the blocked option, which does exactly what's on the tin and will omit any scene with this tag.

Finally, players will be able to replay the whole game, without playing the game... I mean, minus all the scenes that are not part of replay because they don't have sex... but, I mean, you didn't come for the story...

I still prefer the old mindblowers. The old one is clean and simple and really good looking, pretty much perfect. If ur gonna update it, at least make it an option in the settings to keep the old mindblowers. Just dont remove it completely pls

Not sure, I wasn't planning to have both, they're not really compatible without a lot of extra work. I've maybe made it sound more complex than it is, as the base function is still there (click a character, get their gallery), but with the extra ability to filter down after that if desired.

The biggest loss (imo) is the fun standing models of the original, but there just isn't a way to use them in the more compact space... Without making them really tiny.

New gallery isn't a for sure thing though, and I might release it standalone early so people can give it a try, and see if they like it or not.

I just finished the update. I commend you NM on the bravery exhibited by packing so much drama into the last few mins of Mortys experience in his adopted universe. You've written him into not one but several corners (at least in the 'stay in this universe' option I selected) and I am looking forward to seeing how he can continue and keep himself safe from everyone gunning for him and whose ire he has raised. I have a feeling that I know how Jerrys discovery of whats going on is going to be handled

. Thanks for continuing the story and caring enough to try to arrange a satisfactory end. I look forward to the follow on updates and I hope that its left open ended enough so that someone can write a sequel as a text story. I have written a few fanfiction stories myself and might want to give it a try.

Nope, sorry. The script fix didn't work. Neither did the patch or re-downloading. 3.8 works just fine, it's just 3.8P2 that starts then instantly crashes right after the loading screen finishes. Thanks for the help though, and great job keeping the game going. I applaud your work.
