Some team should start offering to finish all these games for a flat price in a set time frame. I would put more than a little money towards that if the art and writing was as good. 5k/month 2016 - 2020 around $250,000, imagining it can be done for far less by others.
Yeah...just checked Oni's Patreon, he's getting a little under 6k a month. Granted that includes his other artwork at $15/mo and most of his patrons seem to be in the $1-2/mo but at 6k I'd call this his official job.

coulda shoulda woulda tbh only a few games have actually been finished and or have consistent speeds for development time I can think of only a handful of actually completed games. Oni only asks for a dollar for the game anyways
$1 per month until you stop paying the micro-subscription, and he's got about 4,000 subscribers at this point. If you're going to have recurring charges to let people play the newest version of your game and you run out of new content you either declare the game done (or unfinished as so many indie porn games have done) or you knuckle down and focus on new content. Or as bwazoo92 said, subcontract some work out to others so you can get the thing done. Oni's making 15-20K over the annual salary just from his Patreon, and if he was employed in the games industry he'd be fired for under-performing at this rate.
