Reading through the devs patreon, it is more like he has doing or learning how to make games for 2 years. He has stated that he ha made another game but did not release it. If I would guess how long he has worked on for RFR, maybe a year after gaining experience from the first game. You can't just simply drop a game out of nowhere. Just look at how many renders this game has and the detail of them, even though we get the webp renders (which are still very good quality compared to other games), it takes a lot of time to make the original high quality renders that the patreons get.

If this is really the first Celavie game, it's not bad at all. The images is great, and besides experience, it also requires serious hardware. Code writing may not be the most complicated thing in the world, but it is quite voluminous and time consuming. There are some small things that I like very much: it tries to move still images in dialogue with identical frames with slight changes in facial expression - Most of the other games freeze with one frame as the dialogue progresses. I think it deserves a little more tolerance and patience in eliminating bugs, I just need him good testers on the team.
